Palomar Phoenix CityScape a Kimpton Hotel

Phoenix, Arizona

The hotel

Anything but ‘spit and sawdust’, Palomar Phoenix CityScape is far from the city’s Wild West origins – in fact, it’s a byword for boutique. Each floor opens up a new luxury. Downstairs, your hosts greet you with complimentary hot drinks each morning, and a wine hour each night. The second floor gastropub, Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails, has a menu pairing small seasonal plates, ideal for sharing, with original cocktails and carefully curated wines and beers. And the third floor rooftop space gives you a stunning pool, a seriously smart lounge bar, and views over downtown Phoenix. When you’re ready to step out and explore it, you’re perfectly positioned in CityScape, the hotspot for all that’s happening in the city, and by EŌS Fitness, where you get free entry.

Rooms were great. Very spacious and clean. Excellent location. Tons of restaurants and things to do near by. Close to Talking stick to see the suns or chase field to see the dbacks. Bowling and comedy club nearby as well.

Made a reservation as we were in town to see Eric Clapton at Talking Stick arena. When we checked in we were told our room was upgraded to a suite from our standard king. We thanked the front desk and went to the room, 435. The room is a corner room right above the pool. They play music so loud it is impossible to sleep. It is now 11:30pm and the… Read more

We thanked the front desk and went to the room, 435. The room is a corner room right above the pool. They play music so loud it is impossible to sleep. It is now 11:30pm and the music is as loud as this afternoon. I called the front desk and was informed the music stops at midnight. Why do they even bother renting this room? Unless you plan to party all night. And why weren't we told about this when we were given this "upgrade"? This is BS. We will never stay or recommend this place again. Big red flag. Stay away. Much nicer places in Phoenix. Read less

Didn't eat there but I can only imagine just how great the food would be. Stay here. Worth the money for sure. Read less

Had a great time in Phoenix and stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix a week ago. The staff were super friendly (not annoyingly friendly- legitimately friendly) and very helpful with not only the services they provide at the hotel, but also local attractions and things to do. They also provided my son with a wheelchair (hurt foot) to go to the Orioles/DBacks game free of charge (stadium and people there were awesome too!!). The hotel is kept very nice and clean. The pool area was very nice as well with beautiful views of the mountains, the stadium and parts of the city. It's located in an area that has plenty of things to do nearby (but for some reason most close pretty early). The restaurant was nice and the bar was nice' just a little on the expensive side. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely go back if I ever go back to Phoenix. On another note, you have to go eat at the Daily Grind for breakfast! Very good. Also, go to Mother Bunch Brewery---yummy beers and surprisingly very good food!! Read less
