W Scottsdale

Scottsdale, Arizona

The hotel

Radically different to its neighbours, W Scottsdale taps into the lively undercurrent of its trendy Entertainment District setting – with features and bars that make it cool and hot in equal measure. On the city’s ‘IT list’, the difference is discernible as soon as you step inside (just look up and you’ll spy the WET Pool through oversized portholes). Head upstairs and the WET Deck welcomes you with the outdoor pool with underwater lighting and music, overstuffed loungers and private cabanas, and weekend pool parties with live DJs. The party continues downstairs, with the lobby space transformed into an open ‘Living Room’ featuring stylish furniture, live music sessions, and a party atmosphere until the wee hours. And, when bed finally beckons, it’s the hotel’s signature W Bed, in a guestroom with sliding floor-to-ceiling windows and a WHATEVER/WHENEVER® Concierge service.

We both don’t mind music so for us, the location of the room was fine. If you like quiet avoid this room. As guests of the hotel you are able to attend the pool parties and evening parties for free. Water bottles are also complimentary if you ask at the front desk. Drink prices were fairly reasonable for a hotel. Also, I never noticed any noise due to construction. The hotel was walking distance to the mall, Old Town Scottsdale and to the club district. The only time we had to take an Uber was when we visited the Desert Botanical garden. Otherwise we walked everywhere and were fine with that. If I were to come back to Scottsdale I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Read less

Like most hotels if theres major construction going on they wont tell you during booking. Nonstop jackhammers poolside all day long. The hotel is nice - folks are nice - but cmon. Also they charge paying guests to use the business center. huh. How much nickel and diming can you do. Nice location yada but youre paying for it as well. Definitely… Read more

Great facilities, nice rooms. But very much a couples or singles vide. Not great for family. That being said staff were amazing and helped to accommodate as much as possible. Perfect party spot, the night life is busy.

We got a great upgrade to host our group. 9 of us travelled to watch the Seahawks game, and Krystle made sure we were completely looked after. We had a suite at the front of the Hotel and it was spectacular, the other good thing, with doors shut the music from the pool party at night was barely heard. Overall we had so much fun, thank you Krystle and team for making our getaway so much fun. We will be back. Jim Read less

Our last trip to Scottsdale at the W Hotel was wonderful the service we received from Rebecca the Insider and Krystle the Conceriege went above and beyond. It was my friends 50th birthday and we ate at Mastro's and they sent us an unbelievable dessert for the whole table(it was so good) and when we got back to our room there were drinks in a bucket with a happy birthday card. They checked in with us the whole weekend to make sure our stay was a special stay. Every time we passed the front desk they said Happy Birthday to my friend. It's the little things that make a difference. Thank you Rebecca, Krystle and the whole staff. Read less
