W Scottsdale

Scottsdale, Arizona

The hotel

Radically different to its neighbours, W Scottsdale taps into the lively undercurrent of its trendy Entertainment District setting – with features and bars that make it cool and hot in equal measure. On the city’s ‘IT list’, the difference is discernible as soon as you step inside (just look up and you’ll spy the WET Pool through oversized portholes). Head upstairs and the WET Deck welcomes you with the outdoor pool with underwater lighting and music, overstuffed loungers and private cabanas, and weekend pool parties with live DJs. The party continues downstairs, with the lobby space transformed into an open ‘Living Room’ featuring stylish furniture, live music sessions, and a party atmosphere until the wee hours. And, when bed finally beckons, it’s the hotel’s signature W Bed, in a guestroom with sliding floor-to-ceiling windows and a WHATEVER/WHENEVER® Concierge service.

This hotel is very nice and modern, from the room to the amenities. The staff was super friendly especially Raul, he was a security guard that gave us great recommendations of places to eat and visit. Front desk was very nice and always greeted us with a smile. The rooms are amazing, modern and super clean.

Friends from SD came for the 4th of July weekend and we picked the W for a great time, and it was right the choice. Krystal at the front desk was AMAZING and give us Pedialyte with cold water bottles every time we walked by and needed it. She was also super nice and informative. I hope they give her a raise she deserves it! I slept comfortably… Read more

Krystal at the front desk was AMAZING and give us Pedialyte with cold water bottles every time we walked by and needed it. She was also super nice and informative. I hope they give her a raise she deserves it! I slept comfortably in my room for three nights, loved the shower. Don’t understand all the noise complaints tbh, my room was facing the zen garden/courtyard and I heard nothing. My friends room was facing the main Old Town club strip of loud bars and they had no noise complaints. The Nespresso machines in the rooms are the best. Jesse at the Pool was also a great dude and gave us some upgrades. Alex gave us rides twice and helped us with luggage and he was super friendly and helpful. I found a lot of the staff super helpful and nice, which is always a plus at these fun hotels. Overall a good experience and would stay here again for a fun time. I definitely don’t think it’s for an older crowd nor a family stay, it’s meant to be a cool fun place and if that’s what you’re looking for you won’t be disappointed. Read less

The hotel and staff was perfect from start to finish but what really set our trip apart was Jessie at the W pool, I can’t say enough good things about him and his service. Because of him we booked another trip to stay at the before we even left. Thank you W and thank you Jessi
