Bally's Hotel Atlantic City

Atlantic City, USA

The hotel

Bally's is the perfect location on the boardwalk. You have The Walk Shops right on your doorstep and in the summer time all the beach bars are right there. In fact there is so much here, you won’t even need to go outside! There is plenty of gaming space here and the Wild Wild West Casino is a sight to behold. Built to resemble an old west mining town, when you enter you come face to face with a 20-foot-tall mountain, a stream, waterfalls, mines and animatronic figures as a "Forty-niner" who tells stories while panning for gold! To relax there is an excellent resort-style spa with gorgeous spa treatment rooms and 7 indoor whirlpools. Once you’ve taken a swim in the enormous indoor pool, recline on the beautiful sun deck overlooking the pier mall and boardwalk. After the relaxing though it’s time to get back out there! Blue Martini is the top nightspot at Bally’s to dance the night away, with live bands and DJs and you must try the speciality Martinis. Mountain bar offers non-stop happy hour. If you want more of a grown-up theme in your hotel, then Bally's is the place to go.

.not too clean for a casino and the security is not the best. people are really nice but the place needs to be cleaned maybe a renovation. and the machines to play at are very dirty and there are a lot of homeless begging for money in the casino.

Everything was exceptional especially my family rooms were connected ocean-view, breakfast delivered to my room to over look the ocean and the morning paper with coffee, juice, steak and eggs and pancakes. Delicious!

I've held back from writing this review, but I just can't stop thinking about the awful hotel room that Bally's in Atlantic City put us in. As we stepped off the elevator, the air was filled with the smell of chlorine from the pool. The hallway itself was dirty and had not been vacuumed for many days. Our room was very tiny, and the window was intentionally frosted to prevent us from looking out. Of course, previous guests had scratched away a good portion of the frosting, so we could look through the scratches and see that the room faced a filthy white wall in some kind of deep alcove that ran from the bottom to the top of the hotel. When we asked for a room change, we were told no, there were no other rooms. When we said that we were checking out (keep in mind that we had just arrived), we were put on hold for a minute, and miraculously, a conventional room was located for us without an additional cost. They were sure to let us know that fact. I'm writing this because I still can't believe that the hotel would actually think that the original room we were given should even be used for guests. The only reason I'm giving Bally's a rating is because, after stating that we were going to check out, they acquiesced and changed us to a normal room. Overall, a sad and disappointing experience amplifying just how run-down some of the hotel rooms and hallways have become. Read less
