Stayed at this hotel last week. Location is great. Concierge was outstanding. Hotel itself namely the rooms was ok but dated. No problems during my stay. The problem started when I came home and looked at my credit card. My reservation had been prepaid through a third party. However there was a charge on my credit card for nearly $250. I contacted the hotel by phone. The front desk upon first contact was dismissive and the representative was argumentative with me. I finally was able to speak with a Manager who told me she’d refer my issue to accounting. I called back the next day as I was doubtful if anything was indeed being done and spoke with another representative and Manager who were both professional and displayed a willingness to help! However the issue is now with their accounting department who can’t find that I was charged. Yes I was charged and it’s not a pending item it is a charge which I now have to pay unless American Express takes my side of this dispute. Baltimore is a great city to visit but I will never stay at the hotel again due to this experience. If you do stay here check your statement especially if you prepay! Read less

Just as you would expect another bland hotel with crap service. The problem is Marriott's still is operating in a different decade. A request for a roll up bed provided me with the inner living room of a suite with no bedrooms and a Murphy bed rather than two beds as requested despite paying the upgrade to the concierge floor. A phone call to the front desk insisted on a visit to the lobby but when I asked if I could just email, I was given the manager's email, who said she was right there and would be waiting for it and 4 hours later there was no response. In other words just a crap hotel with crap food + crop service. Read less

Visited Baltimore for an annual Prince Hall Shriner's Fraternal Organization national conference at the Baltimore Civic Center. My first time staying at this Marriott property and what a surprise: Everything was literally across the street from this hotel. Half a block away from convention center and less than 5 minute walk to from all the Baltimore Inner Harbor restaurants, bars, etc. Camden Yards is literally across the street as well. Orioles played a game week I was there and other than a little traffic chaos, no major issues getting in/out of hotel. As far as the hotel there's a reason I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member: Marriott standard of clean and comfortable hotel rooms I was also impressed with the friendly and responsible hotel staff. I placed an order a few days before I left home to travel to Baltimore and requested delivery to the hotel and when I got there, Hotel security delivered my package at check-in. Now...that's customer service. Kudos to the entire hotel staff. Read less

This Marriott property has poor security and does not monitor who comes into the lobby. I was physically assaulted by four people in the main lobby. Security did not arrive until the assault was over. I was hospitalized over night. No one from the staff reached out to me. I had to reach out to them, but I was brushed off for one month.
