Element Boston Seaport District

Boston, USA

The hotel

A thoroughly modern concept in Boston hotels, Element Boston Seaport states it’s been ‘built green from the ground up’. Its eco-friendly principles don’t get in the way of style or luxuries though. Both come in abundance. The public and private spaces are slick and urban, with all the requisite clean lines, blocky furniture, and muted natural colours you’d expect from a hotel that only opened its doors in 2016. This contemporary styling’s evident in the oversized guestrooms with their full kitchens; the cosy reading nooks; the indoor pool space; and the amenities laid on, including free bicycles for exploring your Seaport surrounds, complimentary WiFi, and a ‘Rise, Restore, Relax’ dining mantra, which translates into a 24-hour gourmet pantry, complimentary breakfasts, and midweek receptions with free drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Amenities

A few minutes’ walk from harbour cruise launches and the Blue Hills Pavilion amphitheatre, it’s also 1.1 miles from The Children’s Museum and Boston Tea Party Shops and Museum, 1.6 miles from New England Aquarium and Boston Common, and 1.9 miles from Faneuil Hall and the theatre district. This brand of the Marriott family is well-suited for longer stays and business travelers, but it worked for us for a short visit to Boston. This brand of the Marriott family is well-suited for longer stays and business travelers, but it worked for us for a short visit to Boston. Good value, very large "urban-apartment" style suites, much above-average complimentary breakfast buffet, and other amenities including bikes to borrow. The hotel is across the street from the convention center and the activities at the "Lawn on D." Just a 10-minute walk to the Seaport Blvd action. Only nit to pick is that the room decor is so neutral that it feels like walking into a black and white movie. Overall, a relative bargain and very comfortable. Read less

I had a king suite. It was very spacious with a sectional couch and everything you would need to cook a full meal. They have a free happy hour on the week nights that is great, as well as very good free breakfast. The staff was incredibly present and friendly!

This hotel is really very good, there were so many things that I loved about it and only few things that need improvement, therefore i wish I could give it 4.5 stars... The request for the room away from the piano bar was honored without any issues by the front desk staff. Staff was courteous, polite, very helpful. The room was great, spacious, great beds, nice kitchen which is honestly more than you d ever need on a sightseeing trip. Amazing shower! Wish the bathroom had few more towel racks or hooks. The housekeeping was adequate, although Saturday we left the room to tour the city a little after 10 am and upon return found that the room was not cleaned. I had to call for clean towels which were delivered promptly. I absolutely loved the free breakfast! I loved all the food choices, loved how promptly food was restocked, loved how attentive breakfast staff was clearing the tables. I really enjoyed using real silverware, plates and cups instead of plastic. The only negative that I noticed was that some of the silverware and plates were not cleaned thoroughly with food particles still stuck on them. The only other issue i had in the room was the extremely unfortunate position of the AC vent which faced the bed blowing cold air directly on the bed. There was no way around it so I had to keep the room warmer than I liked at night so the cold air won’t blow directly at me while sleeping. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay, loved Boston and definitely will be back. Read less

Great location for seaport area. Reasonable parking fee. Great room with full kitchen. Hotel restaurant was okay, but they did not have any alcohol free beer. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Studio room was a bit cramped, but as noted above well stocked breakfast was busy and they could not keep the food stocked to keep up with demand.
