We stayed at this hotel while attending an NBA playoff game and absolutely loved it. The room was perfect (clean, updated, beautiful view, and best bed we've ever slept on in a hotel). The staff was great and the location was convenient. We stayed two nights and it was hard to leave.

BUT got there on the only warm day and the AC did not work (they fixed it)-but when I was checking out another guest was at the desk with the same complaint. No functional electrical plug in the bathroom, shower leaked every time, no light in the makeup mirror, carpet and windowshade frayed. Now for one person, these were surmountable. But the room and the bathroom would have been very, very small for two people. The charge was also above what I had been told was the conference rate (only by about $12 dollars a night but still...not worth the effort to correct. Had a much more pleasant stay at a nearby Hampton last year when I attended this conference. Good location, great view, but lots of need for some sprucing up. Read less

The good is a Starbucks, bar, and restaurant in the hotel and bed is comfortable. But for $300+ Per night for three nights, the room should be warm or have a working thermostat and not have a chipped, painted over bathtub. A room change request was given after I pressed the issue. Tip...register with royal sonesta and receive complimentary wine at… Read more

Tip...register with royal sonesta and receive complimentary wine at happy hour and 10% off at hotel restaurants. I’m guessing at this but it appears third party bookings thru hotel.com was the reason for the room problem. Staff were friendly and room was clean. Location was half hour walk to downtown tourist spots and across the street from a mall. Read less

I have tried to like this hotel, but time and time again they have disappointed when it comes to understanding customer service. The Concierge is consistently rude and responds with attitude. The restaurants don't stay open during their hours of operation. The guest rooms are "tired". For the money, I advise staying somewhere else.

Amazing view of the Charles River. Great location. Mall directly across the street in case you left anything at home. Easy access to Boston. Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was small also and could have been designed better. Toilet was too close to the glass shower doors. Staff were helpful.
