I’ve been to this restaurant many times while changing its names and management I believe but never been a good one ! The food was always not to the high standard they claim to be ...... more important the staff with exception of one or two in all occasions was so unprofessional, not nice and so unwelcoming even for young children ! I tried them last the morning of Christmas day 2020 for breakfast where the buffet was so poor with the Oatmeal pot on the buffet empty not nice treatment or care for the clients at all even when nothing wrong or disturbing that neither myself or my children have done and on top of all that stuffy feelings it is an expensive one for what it is ? To make things nicer I remember few years back we invited friends who were visiting Boston for lunch there where all of a sudden a RAT showed up were we screamed and ran away then back to finish the meal LO L :) It is not worth it and you might question why do we go there and the answer is the very close location since we live in that area ! Marriott need to take note with the shambles of a hotel they laughingly call a "Ritz-Carlton" in Boston. For a supposed 'Gold Standard' in luxury, with a corporate philosophy of "un-wavering commitment to service" you might as well have renamed this a Travelodge for all the difference you actually get when you stay. what a shambles, avoid at all costs. In summary: 1. The front doormen are disinterested, lazy, no communication with visiting guests, avoid any task (including avoiding calling taxis), don't smile and might as well not be there for the help and usefulness they show. 2. Front desk is disinterested, ignore the guests sat in front of them and instead play with their computers. 3. There's no Club Check-in available so you have to queue, even though in a Club Suite, for when one of the two - yes, just TWO - front check-in/out desks becomes available. 4. The supposed 'luxury suite' is actually a prison cell. two tiny windows facing each other accompanied by grey walls and carpets creates a dingy, dark prison cell of a room. We were in Abu Dhabi Ritz-Carlton 3 weeks before and they wall-to-wall-and-floor-to-ceiling windows to create a welcoming and vibrant space. Boston seem to set out to create the complete opposite. 5. The 'luxury suite' was built with surrounding plasterboard walls, and directly up against the housekeepers' cupboard so at 7am it appeared we had people in the room as their noise was so loud as they complained about hotel work practices and managers getting them to do too much work. Fantastic to see that the Ladies and Gentlemen of the Ritz-Carlton enjoy their work so much! 6. The "Club lounge" is a mess. No doubting the staff are trying to do their very best for their guests, but talk to them privately and the tiny squashed space, with its miserably inadequate catering facilities and food offerings (which are, by the way, generally cold even from the 3 only 'hot' plates) is a major challenge for them to offer a refined and secluded service. The lounge when we were ther, probably due to the holidays, was like a wrecked Kindergarten with uncleared tables, food all over the floor, kids running riot. Compared to the refined elegance and food in, say Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, this could have been a street cafe in London's east end. Shambles, dirty low quality and low choice of food served in a tiny space - where are the chefs cooking fresh eggs for breakfast you get at proper Ritz-Carlton's, where's the multiple choice hot (& properly hot) offerings you get in Clubs at proper Ritz-Carlton's. Your Club staff are embarrassed and ashamed by what you give them to play with in Boston. Shame on you Marriott! 7 The hotel bar shuts on a Sunday and Monday night! what hotel closes its internal bar? Not a Ritz-Carlton unless you happen to stay at the fake 'Ritz-Carlton' in Boson. If you are a regular Ritz-Carlton guest, avoid this one. If you want to try Ritz-Carlton (which is generally a good or better above-average experience), go outside Boston. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Shockingly badly run Marriott. Read less

I called to make a reservation for Tea at the Ritz. Was told we had a reservation for 7 for tea at 5:00 on Dec 22. When we arrived we were met with blank stares and finally were told the Ritz had not had tea for 8 years. Enough said!

The room was spacious and nice especially the bathroom(I love big bathrooms). Only downside it didn’t have much of a view being on the 9th floor. The staff were ok except for the front desk agent who checked us in(Malory totally ignored me).
