Location is great, plenty of places to walk and grab a bite to eat. A 1.5 miles from the City of Carmel and about 5 miles from Monterey. Starbucks and 24 hours Safeway within walking distance. Hotel is under construction and parts of facility are closed. The hotel is a little old, but comfortable. My biggest complaint is the light on the… Read more

My biggest complaint is the light on the porch couldn't be turned, forcing the use the black out curtains to block the light all night. A small gripe for an affordable hotel in Carmel. Read less

The hotel even though it’s location is good is extremely overpriced and I would’ve rather stayed at a hotel that was five minutes away and paid almost $60 less night but the area surrounding it is very beautiful

I would rate this accommodation a 2.5 because the woman who checked us in was pleasant. She mentioned that the restaurant touted in their website was closed for refurbishment, and the gym and spa were closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. What she failed to mention was the hotel would still charge a “resort” fee. I suppose the fee covered the view of the neighboring parking lot. The room was large, cold and the bed had a noticeable divot on one side. I would not recommend this lodging, an overall disappointment in an otherwise delightful trip to Carmel, CA. Read less

We lost a night's sleep because of noise outside the window. A truck was steam cleaning the parking lot from 1 AM to 3 AM. Some surfaces in the room were sticky and we had to clean it - not good in time of COVID. $20 resort fee was charged, but hotel was under renovation and all facilities except pool (cold!) were closed. We have stayed here multiple times and liked it in the past. They gave us a $100 discount to make up for it after 3 night stay. Read less

My family and I had a horrible experience with spiders in our room. The staff had “switched” our room without letting us know about it. Until the next day when I was checking out I was told I was supposed to be placed in 130 instead of 134 (spider infested). My family and I had a horrible experience with spiders in our room. The staff had “switched” our room without letting us know about it. Until the next day when I was checking out I was told I was supposed to be placed in 130 instead of 134 (spider infested). We stayed the whole night with a bunch of spiders, not to mention the spiders had taken shelter in our clothes, the kids toys, and one even crawled on my hand as I was looking at my phone before bed. I had confronted a staff member during check out and told him this was un acceptable. I was told I would receive credit for our experience, but that was all talk to get me to leave the office. It’s been 2 weeks since my stay there and no one has ever contacted me regarding the spider infested room. I’m just upset that after telling staff about the spider problem. Nothing was done and they claim to have switched us over from 134 to 130 but I didn’t receive any calls, emails, or even the courtesy of coming over in person to tell us the news. Carmel mission inn definitely wants to sweep this under the rug instead of dealing with it the way I was promised when I handed over my 134 room key. Read less
