My family and friends stayed from June 25- July 2, 2020. The limitations in place due to COVID were hardly noticed. Everything you would like...just ask! There is always an accommodation. Advice? GO!!

We had a wonderful stay. It started well enough with good valet service. Our initial room was not what we were accustomed to, so the front desk did a great job of accommodating us with a new room. And what a room! It was a Sunset Suite, just like we ordered. Super clean and it was very nice. Easy to get to both by elevator and stairs. We are… Read more

And what a room! It was a Sunset Suite, just like we ordered. Super clean and it was very nice. Easy to get to both by elevator and stairs. We are looking forward to our next visit. Because of Covid, the spa and normal aerobic classes were not offered. All the pools were open. Service at the pools were fast and attentive, TY Adam! Beach access is great with a bridge and towels, chairs, and umbrellas to use. The only bad taste we had was when we left. Parking attendants were very sloppy for a $45 per night stay for our vehicle. We are not looking to get our car washed but it would have been nice if they placed our luggage in our car and opened my wife's door for her. In addition, leaving all the tickets for us to throw away was rather tacky as well. If these guys are grumbling about tips, I can see why. Anyway, I did not mark off for that, because we loved everything else about the property during these COVID times. HINT: Cheaper parking alternatives: LYFT/UBER there if you are So CAL local, or park at the beach next to the bridge with hotel permit from the front desk (ASSUMED) and pay state beach fee. Read less

I just spent the weekend here at this hotel. This was my first time staying at this property. I booked online and the next morning Brianna A., the Guest Experience Supervisor emailed me and asked if there was anything I needed. I requested an early check-in and a late check-out if available and of course if a suite was available then I'd appreciate an upgrade as a Globalist. She said that it would be tough to get a Suite with the 4 PM late check-out because they are at really limited occupancy with COVID and only could book a small percentage of their rooms. She said if I could do without the late check-out then she might be able to manage it. I needed it so she offered to upgrade me to a Deluxe Ocean View room (#4321) which had a direct view to the ocean and the swimming pool. It was really comfortable. The normal check-in is at 4 PM. I arrived around 11:30 and the room wasn't ready yet but it was available around 12 PM. Globalist also get breakfast downstairs at Watertable which is a nice restaurant that has seating both inside and outside. You can order off the menu or you can get the buffet. The breakfast is served until 11:30 AM. The valet parking fee is $42/night along with the resort fee of $40/night. As a Globalist member it was proactively removed from my bill which was appreciated. . The pool area was totally packed. I mistakenly thought that since they were at “very limited occupancy” that the pool area wouldn’t be busy but luckily 2 people left as we got there. Definitely no social distancing here as the chairs were super close to one another. They have bar service at the pool with a ton of waitresses. The hotel is also really conveniently located. The Pacific City Mall was just about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It had a bunch of restaurants. Also, Main Street with tons of restaurants and a few shops was about 10 minute walk from the hotel. There is a bridge right from the hotel over to the beach and the hotel has beach chairs and umbrellas they can set up. The hotel also has a Tesla charger and at check-in I requested them to charge my car and they fully charged it which was nice saving me from stoping at a charger on the way home. All in all a great property and the rooms look like they were renovated not too long ago. The staff was all super friendly and the hotel was really clean. All the staff members had masks on. I would gladly return to this hotel for a stay with the kids. This was just a romantic weekend with my wife but it seemed super kid friendly. I can't rave enough about Brianna who even came out to greet me when I arrived. This kind of customer service is hard to find these days in USA properties. Read less

Special shout out to Raul in the valet department. He went ABOVE and beyond to make sure that we had a great time. In the valet my car got a nail in the tire. This man put on the spare to make sure i had a vehicle if i needed it. Took my tire with him after work to get it patched. brought it back and put it back on my car within 2 days. He deserves a big raise and special commendation. Hyatt corporate I hope you read this because employees like Raul are how you get customer's for life! Read less

Just returned from a stay and it was an excellent property for a vacation. It is understandable during COVID that some of the hours of the pools and restaurants were not what they normally would be. The staff was very nice and extremely pleasant from valet to the time we checked out. Prices at restaurants were reasonable and all food was of the highest quality. Kudos for all of the social distancing and cleaning efforts. There was constant cleaning of public spaces and disinfecting stations all over. I wish some of the other guests wore face masks more often but that is out of the control of the hotel. The only minor complaint was that the pool could have been heated a little better as we found it cold but other than that this stay was as good as any we have done in Mexico or Hawaii. Read less
