I stayed at the Hyatt for a business conference. The property is nice enough but I rate hotels based on my quality of sleep since that is typically what you need a hotel for. The walls were thin and I could hear alarm clocks going off in the room next to me, people walking and laughing in the room above me and doors slamming at all hours of the night. There is no slow close mechanisms on the doors which allows rude people to slam doors in the hallway. My sleep quality was very poor during my week stay and I felt tired during the day. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and the location was good. I did not appreciate being charged for parking on top of the high rate for the room. Their is one restaurant on site and it was closed for lunch. THey also ran out of diet soda's while I was staying there and the gal working in the coffee bar was flippant when I asked her when they might have more stocked. I did not use any amenities other than the conference center, which was big and well laid out. I did not use housekeeping but every housekeeper I encountered was kind, professional, and offered to clean my room or touch it up, even though I did not require their services. Read less

Hotel is set in a beautiful location and is absolutely wonderful! Restaurant is excellent and great service provided by Gerson Hernandez. There are many areas to gather and hang out privately, some with fire pits. Warm pool and games for family and friends to play.

We were on the 2nd floor of 3 floors and there was a lot of noise transfer between the neighboring rooms and ours. We could hear footsteps above us, TVs and music. The hotel was packed and parking was difficult to find, which meant a long walk from parking to the hotel. Otherwise, the room was fine.

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and welcoming. One thing I was very much appreciated was the the towels were very soft and fluffy. Most hotels rooms have towels that. Are stiff and rough. It was a great experience taking a shower. We are at the restaurant. The food was good and the… Read more

I was excited about this Hyatt as a convenient spot to stay when visiting Carmel and Monterey but other than good location I don't have much good to share. - Check in took forever as front desk was understaffed at prime check in time - Walls/floor were paperthin and somebody's kids were loudly stomping on the floor above us leaving no way to relax. No sound dampening of any kind it seems. - We booked the room with a patio, hoping to enjoy a wind down book time or a morning coffee on it. Patio might as well be called what it is - parking-lot front pad, which meant that not only we couldn't use it, we also had to keep the curtains drawn as otherwise there would have been no privacy. - Bathroom's cleanliness left a lot to be desired - no glassware in the room (only paper cups) which means forget having a relaxing drink in your room at the end of the day or even a coffee in a mug. This is basics! - bar closes at 10 pm. Who goes to bed at 10? As we barely made it back to the hotel by 10-10:30 this left us without any options for a lounge/hangout space other than our room. So while location is great, it is hardly an enjoyable place to stay. Do not recommend. Read less
