My family had a great breakfast here and had wonderful service from Gerson. He was very polite, helpful, and friendly. The food was good and we enjoyed a great breakfast outside with beautiful weather. Would definitely come back!
Lovely hotel and location

Overall good hotel and location. Restaurant staff needs better training and communication. Tennis shop was closed the entire time/visit with no prior explanation of its hours of operation. Spa was very nice. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Hotel outside hallways are not illuminated at night.

The hotel is beautiful were not golfers but it was a lovely view of the course. Outside was great 2 decent sized pools and we used the jacuzzi at smaller pool which was lovely quiet and hot water.…

The fires outside are fabulous for chilly nights you can still sit outside. The bar area was lovely to and again such a friendly team.
Our room was a really good size. Huge comfy bed and a good sized shower. Hairdryer/iron in the room to.
Towels are supplied by the pools so you don't need to take your own.
Highly reccomend this hotel in Monterey would visit again.
You can walk down to the wharf it's flat all the way but it is a 30 min walk. We did it to save money on parking as when your a guest at the Hyatt it's free parking :-)

Had the best time! So many outdoor activities, staff was friendly and helpful, and the beds and pillows were REALLY comfortable. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone coming to Monterey.

This is our fourth stay and will be our last. This place is really just an average motel by the freeway. What is particularly disappointing is how Hyatt Elites are treated. I am a globalist and booked a standard room. I checked a day before my stay and saw that upgraded rooms and even suites were wide open. I texted the hotel, politely asking if we could get a golf course view rather than the "freeway view". No reply. I then asked politely again the next day, a few hours before our checkin. The answer was - there is nothing available. A blatant lie as all room categories and even suites were wide open for sale on the Hyatt website. When I pointed that out, I was simply told to inquire at checkin upon arrival. Alright. When I checkedin, again nothing. I had to ask if someone thing was available. He then offered us a "pool view" which ended up being just anither freeway view with a glimpse of the pool to the side. Pathetic. But it didn't stop there, the checkin agent "reminded" me that as Globaliat there is a $25 limit for 2 people. I know the rules well, and that isn't true, but upon asking again he said- oh yeah, they changed the rules a year ago. I am sorry, but this is ridiculous! You should know better. And this is no way treating your top level elite. I am not expecting anything special, I didn't even want a suite - even though it showed available. I just wanted a nice quiet room with a decent view. But nah, not in this place. I can only hope Hyatt kicks this hotel out of it's portfolio, what a disappointment.

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.
We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.
Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
