We loved the location of this hotel and how pleasant and friendly everyone was at the hotel. Centrally located on Cannery Row overlooking Monterey Bay, it was close enough to walk the pier and to the aquarium yet away from crowds and still quiet and provided some respite away from loud noises so we could enjoy the sounds of the ocean and the wildlife. We had an ocean view room which I strongly encourage to splurge for - the balcony opened out to a beautiful view of the bay and in the morning we could watch seagulls, seals and otter right out in front. The hotel grounds were lovely - a fire pit on the pier and a coffee shop, plenty of comfortable and elegant seating areas all in a tranquil atmosphere. We were very impressed with how they had accommodated us for an early check-in.. we came right when the marathon had finished and the hotel was busy shuttling guests out. They had expedited a request for a room to be ready and upgraded us as well. Within an hour, we were able to check in. We also appreciated the hotel parking that is included in the resort fee.. as a courtesy, they allows us to leave the car until the next afternoon well after our checkout time. We loved this hotel and hope to bring our families back with us next time. Read less

Upon driving into hotel had great curve appeal. Once checking in the front counter was worse experience as to feeling uncomfortable with the people at the front desk. That kinda set the mood for the location. My wife and I enjoyed the room but the windows weren’t sound proof so sleep wasn’t that great. The valet was unorganized to get vehicle back… Read more

Beautiful hotel, we had a room looking out over the bay with a balcony. Staff remembered names and used them when passing by, nice touch. Very clean beautifully appointed room and bathroom, water provided in personal fridge each day. Just small things but make a huge difference to the experience. We walked to the aquarium from the hotel and also to fishermans wharf. Restaurant was lovely and little coffee shop on site was excellent for breakfast and snacks. Car transfers available for free also useful for early trip for whale watching. Also invited to cheese and wine pre dinner apparently equivalent to afternoon tea in uk. Read less

My wife and I stayed at the property for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The property boasts beautiful views along with clean and spacious rooms. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on my next visit!
