Our experience here was not good at ALL. We came here for two nights. The drinks they gave us were in plastic cups. They did not care if you were staying at the hotel, they were careless. I would neger recommend staying here. The pandemic is not an excuse to be cheap.

Terrible. Worst experience ever. For $1000 dlls a night, a Macalan 12 in a plastic glass. Worst than in highschool. The pandemic is not a pretext to be cheap. Service is service wherever you are. A few hours ago we had a bottle of Prosecco at the Inn in Spanish Bay and service was great, without being a guest. I would not recommend this hotel ever

We were very pleased with the location, decor, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Our family of 4 were traveling with a family of 5. We had 4 rooms and we were happy with each one. My husband and I stayed in a king room with a partial view of the bay. There were binoculars in the room so we could see the seals. I thought that was a… Read more

We picked up a very good/positive vibe amongst the staff at every point of contact. We felt this was an overall reflection of the organization.… Read more

Close to Cannery Row, but away from the noise. Was a bit pricey, but the quality of the experience was excellent. Read less

Wanting to experience a few days in Monterrey with my family, I decided to pay the absurdly offensive prices for a short stay at the Monterey Plaza, hoping that somehow the price point would equate to an outstanding visit (for some context about the prices, the Plaza charged rates that were almost twice that for a similar room type at a nearby Fairmont and Ritz Carlton). Instead, we discovered a property that charges five-star prices for a three-star experience. From the beginning when our room wasn’t ready at the guaranteed check-in time, to calling numerous times requesting extra towels, to having a team member ask why we needed more linens, to the mediocre food from Schooner’s, I cannot recall being more unhappy about spending money with a hotel. Together with the overwhelming touristy-ness of Monterrey (think Atlantic City Boardwalk with better weather), the entire experience was substandard. Had we not had a bay view, I would say there was absolutely nothing redeeming about this stay. Unfortunately, the view belies a property that does not provide guests with an experience its prices would suggest. Read less
