I am a diamond Hilton Honors member. I called the hotel early in the day prior to my initial arrival and asked for a complimentary upgrade to a corner or premium suite. The front desk rep said she would try to accomodate my request. When I checked in I mentioned the upgrade request and was told I had been upgraded to a corner suite. When I got to my room #711 it was not a corner suite nor a premium room. As soon as I got into this room I called the front desk and stated that I was expecting an upgrade. The clerk stated "that's what we consider a corner suite." This made no sense to me at all. At this point I was tired from a long day of travel and did not want to battle any more so I just accepted it. How can the clerk tell me I've been upgraded to a corner suite when my room was not in the corner and seemed to be a standard room? I was shocked to find that this hotel has only valet parking for $30 per night when I arrived by car. My complaint is that no where on the Hilton web site when this room was booked is the $30 parking fee disclosed. I am a long time traveler and understand that some hotels do charge for parking, however, at $30 per night, Hilton should be transparent and notify me in advance when I make the reservation, not surprise me when I arrive. My only other option was to park in the underground garage at $24 per night which I did on nights two and three, and as a result I had to walk up the vehicle entry/exit ramp as, according to the hotel valet attendant, was the only way from this underground parking to the hotel entrance. This added insult to injury as it was dangerous to walk up the vehicle ramp and I felt very unsafe. Read less

I had a last minute business trip pop up so I decided to stay at the Embassy Suites Walnut Creek due to the location and the area where the property is located. Centrally located by a small airport, a BART Station, and right off of three major freeways that intersect, it is perfectly located to any type of transportation I would choose for my trip. I’m a proud Hilton’s Diamond Member who uses the app to make all travel arrangements/reservations, check in, payments and virtual keys. The app allows me to communicate with properties via text directly to the front desk once the reservation is made. The initial contact, response time, temperament of the tone and communication tells a lot about a hospitality property. Since I’ve not stayed on this property before, I always have several questions that I send to the front desk to prepare for my stay. The response was immediate from Jessa who was polite, professional, thorough and warm. My questions continued over a duration of time and Rose then replied in a caring and warm hospitable way that told me this team cares. Whenever I come across this energy I quickly know my stay is in the hands of a great and caring team! On the day of my arrival I was greeted by Deandre and Leni of Valet team who were quick, friendly and full of important information about the property, the area and also assisted in retrieving a Bell Captain cart so I could personally get my belongings up to my room. During COVID-19 so many properties are operating differently with only specific services available on each property. To be greeted by a team members who were friendly and full of knowledge made me feel comfortable about the property I was about to enter without any surprises. My accommodations were perfect and seamless and enjoyed. The following morning unexpectedly I extend my stay and Felicia on the Front Desk Team was truly amazing! I could feel the true hospitality spirit and energy through each text and phone call. I knew she was smiling on the other end of the conversation as it was evident she exudes pure hospitality spirit that isn’t taught or trained but exists in your foundation! With each request of my extension she was there to guide it along it’s journey without any delays or hiccups. Thank you Felicia you’re a shining star and definitely a unique spirit that extends the true meaning of graciousness and uniqueness!!!!👍🙏🙏🌟🌟🌟Rachel on the Housekeeping team also made my extension perfect with her great attitude and quickness to make sure I had all needs and room turn completed on a timely manner! I have noted this team and property on my must stay list and will be back sooner rather than later. Thank your team for your gracious hospitality and with gracious gratitude I will return! 🥂 Cheers 🥂 Rolando Ps. please address me by my first name as I address you by yours! Read less

Please don’t stay here. I’ve been a Hilton honors member for 21 yrs and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s filthy, ie. rust in bathtub, stinky towels, trash in elevators. The partying was out of control and lasted well into the night. This hotel needs major help. Not worth staying here.

Relocated family there for four days during recent NorCal fires. Bottom line: 1. Ventilation was awful and the central courtyard and rooms were smokey from the fires. We ended up bringing in our own air purifier from home. 2. A lot of rough characters were there--not sure if these clientele were more long-term special-cases. 3. Smell of pot… Read more

We ended up bringing in our own air purifier from home. 2. A lot of rough characters were there--not sure if these clientele were more long-term special-cases. 3. Smell of pot was everywhere. 4. Weird things like buttons in the elevator completely missing and guest room doors that appear to have been kicked in. 5. Only one ice-machine (that ran out) on floor 2 for the whole hotel. 6. One day the water was off from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. 7. Only one luggage cart for the entire facility. Had to wait about half an hour to use it. Definitely sub-par to what I was expecting from the brand. Would not stay there again. Read less

No one brothered to tell me until I checked out, but yet the staff knew because they informed us at check out. At least the attendant, Jessica, was helpful. But I had to request that I not be charged with the valet parking. There were groups of young people milling around, not socially distancing the night we checked in. Twice woken up in the middle of the night with people knocking loudly on nearby door. Breakfast was awful, a weird tasting danish, juice and an apple. The Best Western I stayed at the night before at least had a variety of cereal containers and milk (dairy and non dairy and fruit). Best Western trying despite the pandemic, can't say the same for Embassy Suits. Stay somewhere else!! Read less
