Embassy Suites is our go to hotel for our family reunions. Kristen and Danielle were fabulous in helping us plan and organize our event. Even the valet guys were great. The breakfast buffet is awesome!

Positives: The location right off of the freeway is great. You are right across the street from the BART station, so you have easy access to San Francisco. Beautiful views of Mt. Diablo out the window. Seeing the BART run by Mt. Diablo in the mornings when I opened the blinds was the most perfect, idyllic view of the east Bay area I can think of. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, which is nice. They offer cooked-to-order free breakfast and an evening reception with snacks, which is much appreciated. The rooms are clean and spacious. Negatives: The first day I got there the Internet was slow. Over the next few days it became pretty much nonexistent. I went to the front desk and they gave me a coupon code to try and even told me just to order the Premium service Internet, but nothing worked. This hotel is VERY busy! Especially on weekends. There are only 3 elevators in the whole place, and only 2 of them were running at any one time. You cannot be in a hurry if you stay here, as you'll be waiting a few minutes for the elevator each time. The line for breakfast on the weekends was REALLY long. It moves and the cooks do their best to make your food quickly, but the eating area is just not big enough to handle as many people as stay here, even on the weekdays. They don't have coffee and water out at all hours like every other Embassy Suites I've ever stayed in has. I found this odd. Some mornings I had to wake up before breakfast started at 6:30 AM, and my only option for coffee was to walk 3 blocks away and go to Starbucks. My shower drain was not working. Worse, due it not working there were long brown hairs in the shower (I have short hair). I told the front desk about this and they said that they would send maintenance up right away to fix it. The next day, it still wasn't fixed so I went down again and asked them to fix it and again got told they would send someone up right away. 5 day later, it was still not fixed. At this point, I went downstairs to ask for a screwdriver so I could take the drain off and fix it myself. They actually brought the maintenance person out to talk to me and he assured me it would be fixed that day. Finally, it was fixed. While I'm glad they fixed it, having nasty, standing water in my shower for 5 days is pretty unacceptable. Due to the issues, I would not recommend anyone coming for a long stay or coming on business to stay here. Not having internet alone would be enough for me to not stay here, but the other issues kind of sealed the deal, and it's a shame because it is a very nice-looking hotel in a nice location with a friendly staff. They have the best staff. We are always so satisfied when we stay here one of the best locations. The pool area is always nice and well kept. And the breakfast is amazing as always. Can’t wait to come back for another stay.

Expect long lines for breakfast on the weekend- 30 minutes for eggs and bacon. Could be easily fixed by the hotel - we’ll see. Evening reception food is not worth the effort. Plan on $27 day for parking.
