Inn at Morro Bay

San Luis Obispo, California Coast

The hotel

Squeezed between Morro Bay and a golf course, this waterfront hotel’s taken over a whole patch of prime seaside real estate, giving you views of the bay and Morro Rock. Inside it’s dressed for the occasion, with nautical navy and white adding to its seaside flavour. Sitting on the edge of Morro Bay State Park, it’s midway between LA and San Francisco – something reflected by its popular 60 State Park Restaurant and Lounge, where the bay view draws you in, and the Central Coast cuisine makes sure you stay – whether you’re tucking into clam chowder in a sourdough bowl for lunch or the 60 State Park Burger for dinner. And, with its motel style, it’s made for those wanting to explore the region’s missions, wineries, beaches, and lighthouses, before relaxing on the pretty terrace with its pool and hot tub.

Despite the California governor's effort to shut down small businesses, the staff made sure all precautions were in place and assured us of a safe, clean and enjoyable weekend!! We will definitely return in 2021...TWO THUMBS UP!!

I said everything in my review. We do really love this hotel because we love morro bay. However the cleanliness was troubling as we found trash in our room and the fact of not dinning in the room is disappointing. Along with time noise from the renovations from next door were loud.

Front desk clerk who took my call to update our reservations, was rude and short with me on the call. Said she would email me the reservations as we had 2-two reservations, took 3-three more calls to get her to do the task. She spoke with an accent, would not disclose her name. Check in was a breeze, room was beautiful and clean. Bed was just right. Ordered curbside pick up for just about every meal...so many great restaurants in Morro Bay..and ate on our deck overlooking the Bay. Bummed the jacuzzi wasn’t operating, but that’s a County issue I guess, not the choice of the Inn. I’d recommend to friends and plan on visiting again. Read less
