We normally come here as family in the Summer time, staying down valley, but visiting Aspen for shopping and meals and activities. While the Fall time is still busy, it's not quite the hustle and bustle of Summer or Winter, which makes it a fantastic time to visit. A few weeks out from our stay, my wife and I received an email from Amanda, a reservations coordinator with the hotel, to square away any arrival assistance we may need and any special occasions we wanted to celebrate during our visit. Top notch customer service that delivered with a bottle of Prosecco and some candies to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, we were greeted by valet and they took care of the car ($50/night) and bags, which met us up in our room. Precautions were made by every hotel employee due to the COVID pandemic. We felt safe interacting with hotel employees because of this. Masks on everyone and limiting of occupants in elevators. Hand sanitizing stations located throughout the hotel. We stayed in a deluxe king room (435) for 3 nights, that was large and well appointed for a couple to stay in. Bed was comfy and luxurious as can be and was nice to snuggle into on a cold night. The room overlooked Aspen itself and we enjoyed seeing the change of the leaves on the Aspen trees around town and across the valley at sunrise and sunset. Cleaning service was top notch, as was room service that we had one morning for breakfast. We did attend the champagne sabering ceremony one evening in the courtyard and that was fun and informational. The employees running the valet were very nice and conversational. Always asking if we needed any help on where we were going and how our day/activities were going. The St. Regis is top-class for a reason. Just a quick walk away to some of the finest shops and restaurants. Not to mention hiking trails and ski slopes just a short walk away as well. We took advantage of the trailhead just around the corner and up the street from the hotel one morning that allows you access to the hiking trails/roads leading up to Aspen Mountain. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back! Read less

We came to the St. Regis Aspen for our two year wedding anniversary for 7 nights. The resort is beautiful, and going in early October to see the fall foliage is something else. The food, while expensive (as typical for St. Regis) was very good, especially for lunch. We found the front desk to be outstanding. We often went to them over the concierge, as they were prompt and had good inside knowledge, and we found the concierge often busy with other patrons. In particular, Ashleigh is awesome! She gave us the inside scoop on all the best hikes and things to do nearby. When we had issues, she remedied them swiftly and with apologies. We also thought Savannah and Ulia were particularly helpful and an asset to the team. Lastly, the front desk manager Daniella was very kind and helpful. Tom and Garret who worked at the restaurant were very kind and helpful too. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, and the front desk service helps set it apart. We look forward to returning. Read less

Let me first say the positive things - the staff was really superb, friendly and helpful. The lobby and back patio are really lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the crisp fall days hanging by the fire pit or eating outside under a torch heater. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located in town with easy access to everything. Now for the not so good. I felt the “deluxe” room was woefully inadequate in two ways: A) it was very small - I’d go out on a limb and say tiny. It’s 300 sq feet and the bathroom is nice but the area with the bed felt really confining. To make matters worse they put an armed chair in front of desk (so u can’t push it under) which made space extra limiting. We called and asked to change and was told the “superior rooms” are even worse. I think aspen generally has smaller rooms but I was very disappointed in the lack of view and lack of space. Perhaps rename the rooms “bad and better” vs Superior and Deluxe. By deluxe them meant I had an electric fireplace. Honestly - I’d rather have more space. We were on the second floor (I think there are only 4 floors) in a corner room with two windows - both windows had pretty big pine trees blocking them and I really had just about no view at all of the area. Everything in this room is a hassle to use. The illy coffee maker is awful. The first one brewed cold coffee and they replace it (I had to call twice and it was fixed the second day) - I kept putting in pods that didn’t take the first time. They replaced it and I still had the pod issue. I gave up. The humidifier only works for a three or so hours at a time, then you have to wait 15 min Unplugged and start again. It took 20 min to figure out how to fill it up. (A label with instructions would be helpful !!) I’m glad it was there - but a hassle. The phones didn’t work - after four days in the room I couldn’t figure those out either - I could only dial out using speaker phone and 20% of the time no one picked up. Plugs were extremely limited and it was difficult to find a place to charge things. They had a nice Bose clock radio but it didn’t have blue tooth and no USB port. Hello St Regis.... the 90s are calling and want their room back ! Read less

The hotel was at capacity when we visited in October partly due I'm sure to the peak fall colors season. They seemed to be short of staff eg there was nobody in sight at the pool to either help with setting up towels etc although Estefan who was a bar tender happened to be there and helped us out. We did however have to go down to the bar to order and they would bring the order to the pool. We tried to call the spa to reserve the gym, as instructed, but no answer. When we pointed this out to the font desk they said 'try again'. Really?? The room's patio door wouldn't close and needed repaired and the carpeting was worn. We also had to ask several times for coffee pods to be replaced in the room. We did order room service one evening for desert. the food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. We also borrowed a couple of rickety old bikes and had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to give us a waiver form because there was only one person helping at the front. We will pay a little extra and go to The Little Nell next time - service is impeccable there. Read less

If you ever want to feel like royalty for the week, weekend, or even just a night, you definitely must stay @ the St. Regis Aspen which truly offers exemplary service in an elegant, yet chill atmosphere. My family and I have stayed at this property multiple times (last time weekend of 10/2) and it is about time I write a very overdue review! The rooms are impeccably decorated and up-to-date and the pool and hot tub area is spacious. The strongest attribute for this property is that they treat their SPG (now Bonvoy) members with the utmost in hospitality and always try to accommodate upgrades when available. Every employee is trained to be cordial and welcoming and you feel that in every corner of the hotel (this is largely due to the amazing leadership of Heather Steenge-Hart- there is a reason she has been there for multiple years!). Other highlights- the lobby bar is a great place to kick-off your evening and the breakfast restaurant (Velvet Buck) has French Toast like you’ve never had before! Also, the property is steps to some of the best shopping and restaurants in the county. St. Regis Aspen is one of our fav in the world- hands down! Read less
