Tivoli Lodge

Vail, Colorado

The hotel

Combining modern architecture with the feel of a mountain lodge, the Tivoli is a firm favourite with skiers. Warm in atmosphere with great service from attentive staff, it also enjoys unobstructed views of the Vail’s Golden Peak ski area. Guest rooms are spacious and impeccably-appointed with the finest linens and large soaking tubs – much appreciated after a busy day on the mountain! There are also two hot tubs to stake your place in, both with mountain views, the perfect way to relax and unwind. Breakfast is a delight at the Tivoli, complete with an omelette station and house specialities such as French toast and buttermilk biscuits. Come sundown, there’s the Brown Hound Lounge with overstuffed chairs, leather sofas and towering views of the mountain. A wonderful place for a spot of après-ski, try a signature Indini cocktail, inspired by former mascot Indy, the chocolate Labrador for whom the name is lounged – yep, you guessed it, it has a chocolate theme!

A beautiful one night getaway, hotel and staff were lovely, would definitely stay again. Beautiful spacious room with a fireplace and view of the mountains. Easy walk into the village. Looking forward to returning soon.

Immediately when you pull up, you are greeted by a pleasant staff member alerting you that you must decide to park three blocks away or relinquish your vehicle keys and let valet take your vehicle for $20/day. The smiling employee will beeline for you and contact you while you are still in your vehicle. This really sets the stage for the Tivoli Lodge. In the window, there is a clear view of that on-site fitness center that is advertised on the website that is closed under COVID protocol. Unsure why Tivoli hasn’t adopted an appointment based gym operating/cleaning procedure like everyone else in the state. Tivoli staff will deflect any questions and discussion about the on-site fitness center to the fact that there are day passes available for a nearby gym. I asked why the on-site fitness center is still advertised on the website and I was corrected by a staff member saying the advertised fitness center is the “dry ground” location a block away. At the time of this post, both are mentioned save for the detail that there is no way to use the fully equipped gym within the Tivoli lodge. You must choose your breakfast the night prior and decide on a pickup time. Having breakfast options is worth noting but this place was a bad choice for a relaxing weekend away. I regret making a reservation here and when I realized what the culture was at Tivoli - it was too late for a refund. There seems to be a large rat(s) roaming the grounds, maybe staff could take note and progress toward extermination Read less

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property, conveniently located steps away from the heart of Vail Village and a 5 minute walk from Gondola One. Lovely mountain view, spacious hot tub, fantastic room.

Coudn't have been in a better location, short walk to the lifts and gondola! Great, friendly staff, very responsive and great amenities. The hottub was a perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes and the morning coffee and afternoon cookies were a delight!

This hotel is exactly what you would expect a warm, family run lodge to look and feel like. It's very quaint and the lobby with the seating, sofas and fireplace make you feel like home. The view from the mountain view rooms is beautiful, and you can ski within 20 yards of the Lodge when you're done skiing.
