It's very close to the MPAC and some local restaurants. Unfortunately when I was there you couldn't change the heat or AC (there was no thermostat) in the room and there was no hot water in the shower. Also parking was by valet ($23) only.

This is a historic property in a central location near the Legacy Museum. The rooms are nice. The breakfast options are good. The rooms are quiet. The only issue is that there was only lukewarm to cool water in the shower. For this reason we would not choose this hotel again.

We recently stayed here on our way back from Tennessee. If visiting the downtown area, you can't beat it. It's right next door to the Hank Williams museum and close walking distance to the downtown restaurants. They have good breakfast in the morning and a very polite staff. The only reason we give it a 3 rating is there was a mix up on our cards we used on the room but they did fix quickly. We had someone from maintenance open the door and walk in unannounced even with the Do not disturb sign on the door. The door had a half inch gap at the top that you could literally see in the room thru. We opened the curtains to enjoy the view and noticed that the paint was pealing off all around the window frame and the remodeling that was done around the windows was not done with the intention of the curtains being open. Last but not least (at least in my wife's opinion) is there was a giant cockroach running around on the wall. Read less

Positively surprised overall! Very conveniently located to everything. Clean property, very good value - excellent breakfast service! I would like an option to self-park vs. valet, but that seamed minor. In general, very friendly staff.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Did not meet expectations for a Hampton Inn. Had lots of problems and did not get much help from the staff.

The room was not fresh and clean as promised and the AC did not work and the water was a problem as well. My faucet leaked all night, a night club outside my room window partied into the night, the mattress was super firm to the point of pain.
