For a supposed 4-star hotel, service was on par with a 2-star hotel. I booked directly on their website and paid listed price, so I can't even attribute the horrible service to us being a discount customer (using a 3rd party website, credit card points for free stay) 5 examples: * Issue #1 - I checked in on Friday afternoon at the South Tower… Read more
For a supposed 4-star hotel, service was on par with a 2-star hotel. I booked directly on their website and paid listed price, so I can't even attribute the horrible service to us being a discount customer (using a 3rd party website, credit card points for free stay) 5 examples: * Issue #1 - I checked in on Friday afternoon at the South Tower (without my family, since I was at a conference in a different hotel earlier in the week). Realized I needed change to tip the bellhop, so I walked over to Latitudes (hotel bar) and the person working the bar said they don’t have change. So I go back to the front desk, who says the bar would have it and I had to explain that the bar claims they don’t have any change, before the the front desk managed to find some change. * Issue #2 - Later in the day, my husband and my son joined me in our room in the North Tower. That night after my son went to bed, my husband said he’ll go get some wine/drinks/snacks for us to have a quiet movie night in our room (without the premium of room service). 30 minutes later, he text me saying he’s on an Uber to CVS because he called the front desk and they recommend that since we just want something low-key, it would be cheaper/faster to go offsite instead of heading to Prime Meridian. So did the front desk forget that there’s Latitudes at the South Tower?! * Issue #3 - Saturday morning I woke up and realized my son never got his Kids Crew package and milk/cookie (which was one of the reason we chose Omni instead of the other many hotels nearby). I called the front desk and they said that I can come down to the South Tower front desk to get his package and that his milk/cookie will be delivered with housekeeping. So because the front desk made a mistake and forgot to give me his Kids Crew package, it’s somehow my problem and I have to track it down to the other tower. * Issue #4 – I came down to the South Tower front desk Saturday evening to retrieve the Kids Crew package and reminded the front desk that we still haven’t received his milk/cookie. Front desk says it will be delivered while we’re out at dinner. We come back after dinner and guess what…NO milk OR cookie. * Issue #5 - I made a mistake of trying to open the curtains on Sunday morning, as we were packing. White clouds of dust went EVERYWHERE. I don’t expect the curtains to be washed after every guest, but these curtains definitely haven’t been washed for who-knows-how long. No wonder we were all sneezing non-stop while we were there (we initially blamed Atlanta air, but the room is certainly a main culprit). Read less

All of our meals were catered from the hotel every meal was very good. The meeting rooms were nice a little on the cold side but they were roomy and very nice. The guest rooms are nice and big plenty of hot water nice view of the park next door.

I have been thinking about what I wanted to write in my review...specially, something that I did not like. After thinking about it for a day, I came up with “it was kinda dark in the shower with the shower curtain pulled. That is pretty much the only thing I could come up with...the hotel is pretty awesome. In regards to the shower, lots of hot water and a turbo shower head. Housekeeping did a great job with the room, comfortable bed and the air conditioning was quiet and efficient. The staff was awesome, the restaurants were good...beautiful hotel. The weekend Centennial Park rap concerts were a distraction but that was not the hotels fault. Very good experience! Read less

Over the Labor Day weekend, my sister and I stayed at the Omni Hotel at CNN center, in Atlanta, GA. The location is perfect. However, that is all I have nice to say about this hotel. When you stay at a hotel, at the least, you expect your room to be cleaned before you check in and cleaned everday of your stay. Well that was NOT our experience. We called for the room to be cleaned and to receive an iron that worked, on the first day of our stay. We received the iron, not the cleaning service. I finally asked to be switched to a different room. Finally at 1am, Sunday, September 1st, we were given a different room. I didn't expect an upgrade, however, I did expect a room of equal value. The room they gave us was musty, old/dated, dusty. The bathroom ceiling over the sink had rust and mold from water damage. We were only there for 3 nights. I'm still FURIOUS about it. Cleaning rooms is like the ABC'S of hospitality. How do you mess that up? The hotel got bck to me saying that the next time I'm there, they'll upgrade my room for free. No thank you. I will not give them another opportunity to ruin my experience. The cost of the room per night is way to high for the service you receive/don't receive. You're better off staying at a motel. I’m always hesitant to give a less-than-stellar review. The staff were excellent and very helpful, but there are issues with this hotel. A final tally of $589 for a 2-night stay would indicate a top-notch experience to me, which is why I scored it a 3 instead of 4. There were issues in the bathroom - chipped tub, mold on the wall and around the seams in the tub. The steam removal/bathroom fan was very inefficient. The mattresses were worn and would have benefitted from being rotated. Broken plug-in on the desk. $45 to valet park our vehicle at the hotel, with very few overnight parking options offsite.
