The Ellis Hotel

The hotel

A historic Peachtree landmark, the Ellis Hotel, boasts a legendary past and an impeccable tradition for guest service. A chic, boutique establishment, and the proud recipient of many awards, guests can enjoy a high standard of luxury as well as a rather unique range of amenities. What do we mean? Well, for a start there’s a Women’s Only Floor, ideal for the lone traveller or groups of girls, featuring private-access entry and upgraded amenities such as comfy slippers, curling iron and a kiss cam for your laptop so you can say goodnight and good morning to your loved ones back home. There’s also a Fresh-Air Floor (men allowed this time!) with a purified breathing environment that is allergen-free – you can breathe deeply as much as you like if you choose a room on this floor! You’ll also enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, a workout room and morning coffee in the lobby. Terrace Bistro & Restaurant is definitely one of the places to eat on Peachtree, situated at ground level, with tables and chairs spilling out onto the street. It’s a great place to feast on delicious American Southern Bistro-Style dishes whilst watching the world go by.

This was a nice hotel but not in the best location. It was up from the Olympic Park and on the corner of the street. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was not included in our tariff. Air conditioning in room and a safe.

We spent a fabulous 3 nights in this luxurious hotel. Spotlessly clean & we'll appointed in the heart of Atlanta's tourist attractions, the staff esp Derek & Valerie on reception, go out of their way to make you welcome & nothing is too much trouble for them.

We had a number of meetings in the city so we decided to spend the night which we do often. Choose the Wellness room. The room and bathroom are beyond small, was dusty and the night stand missing a knob, looks like a few random high end items stuck in an older dated room, the “wellness up grades” are a collection of infomercial products that further clutter the room and the staff is clueless about. Called to fill our water per the instructions on it and received a cup of tap water delivered by a confused staff member who stated they had no idea and never saw it before. Nice. The magnetic mattress topper is downright hard and uncomfortable, the shower attachment lowers the shower head as to be inconvenient. The only saving grace is our valets are very professional and personable. I woke up feeling unrested and overcharged. There are much better options at this price point. Read less

I stayed there for two nights. Cost me 700+ USD. For that price, I was expecting at least good service. NOPE. They even charge for water... I told the front desk that I needed housekeeping. When I returned at 8pm, my room was still messy. So I had to wait outside for the lady to clean. When she was finished, my bed sheets looked like they have… Read more

When I returned at 8pm, my room was still messy. So I had to wait outside for the lady to clean. When she was finished, my bed sheets looked like they have been slept on by a giant or smth... There was no service whatsoever. The lobby always sounded like a party for all the workers. The walls were thin and I could not sleep for two whole nights. FIRST AND LAST TIME VISITING Read less

I upgraded for 2 nights at the Ellis to their premium "Wellness room" since I have allergies and figured I'd try the extra amenities. First I would say the service was excellent, and its in an excellent location in Downtown being literally right on Peachtree St/Ellis and next to the Peachtree Center MARTA station. The restaurant there is OKAY but plenty of options around within walking distance and Uber. The Millenium room itself has some upgrades and it definitely helped my allergies, however if you do not have this issue then I likely would save the money (its a $40 upgrade and some of the amenities are more gimmicky). I would stay there again. Read less
