This past week I stayed at the W in Buckhead and was quite disappointed in the service. Upon checking in I asked the front des k associate for my room number and was told it was written on the card key envelope. Once I looked at the envelope it wasn’t. Easy mistake however this was just the beginning of the horror. Once in my room I went to use the bathroom . Which I notice had a dirty wash cloths behind the door. I went to the front desk and asked for the bathroom to be cleaned, a modest request especially during a pandemic. I was told it would be immediate cleaned. I left the hotel for a few hours and returned only to find the bathroom in the same condition. I contacted the front desk again only to be told nothing could be done until the morning at 9:00 AM. In the morning around 9:30 AM I returned back to the front desk and I was promised again that the bathroom would be cleaned. I waited an hour and no one arrived . This time my girlfriend called and finial hospitality arrived with new towels one of which was soiled. Then 15 mins later a lady arrived to clean the bathroom. She was in there about 5 mins then left and guess what, she didn’t removed the wash cloth. I had to go and chase her down the hall to have her return to remove it. It took 4 request to have a bathroom clean in a 4 star hotel. For this inconvenience the front desk clerk promised to credit my bonvoy account enough points for a one night stay and remove the charge for valet parking. All I received was credit that I stay at the hotel for the night and was charged for valet parking. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel if you are concerned about social distancing. They do not enforce wearing mask. Housekeeping seems incapable of properly cleaning. Also, the front desk staff gives empty promises. I have stay at many W hotels through out the country because the service is usually excellent. The W Buckhead did not live up to this expectation. I have received better service at a Comfort Inn. For a hotel to have the slogan “whatever whenever” I expected a lot more and do not plan to stay at this location ever again. Read less

I understand the times we are in, but a Holiday Inn Express 3 weeks ago was better prepared to greet guests. Read less

The only thing open was the rooftop bar, which you could not use the credit under because the bar is not associated with the hotel. When talking to the front desk they told us we could not only use the credit with room service. we went to our room to order room service. closed. no room service because it was only open from 7 am to 11 am. We called the front desk and talked to us like we were idiots for not knowing that room service was no longer available and the only thing we could use our credit for was the valet service. In the morning when we woke up we went to get our car from valet, it was now closed because it is only open on the weekends. The front desk said we still had to pay the full price for the hotel. My girlfriend being treated so horribly broke down in tears once we got to the car. We finally said screw this place and made a reservation elsewhere. I called and spoke to the manager, being as rude as he could finally gave me a full refund on the horrible hotel. Do no stay here ever. I will never stay at another W establishment and recommend that no one stay here. The staff is nothing but rude and a bunch of liars. The W Buckhead might as well be a cheap pay by the hour motel. It is unwelcoming and no one is friendly. They just expect you not to ask questions as they take your money and run. Read less

The valet service for the hotel was horrendous: 1) None of the attendants wearing masks (June 2020) 2) No way to request a car retrieval without physically giving a ticket 3) Every time we arrived at the hotel (including to check in) there was a 20 minute wait just to drop the car off 4) We saw another couple livid because evidently the valets had lost the keys to their car that they had dropped off the night before 5) There was no assistance with luggage (blamed on handling due to COVID concerns) however they were happy to attend with no masks and handle paper tickets no problem The hotel itself was mostly fine but definitely not excellent. Room was noisy, staff wasn’t particularly friendly. Would not recommend if you have an alternative Read less

Thus, our recent stay at " The W," has been thus far one to comment on. Upon checking in we were greeted by polite front desk staff whom made the stay a bit more welcoming in addition to the upscale decor. However, the quality of the room itself did not meet our expectations nor those imposed from the 4 star reviews. Room 630, restroom, had had been utilized prior to our welcome: as the hand soap was used with dried residue, the garbage can had trash in it and the shower had diplayed use with the hotel provided soap open and used containers. We immediately notified front desk (all within about 5 minutes of checking in) and they provided a quick solution. However, that was a huge health concerns going into a used room. (Maintenance also verified the above conditions as they were called because the toilet wouldn't flush. My husband had used the bathroom and was the one to notice the bathroom conditions.) Room 1030- I must comment, cleaned to perfection. We left for the day and wasn't able to return until about 6 in the morning. (We made attempt to return to the hotel around 9 and wasn't able to do so, the cops had the streets blocked off from the rioting and wasnt letting anyone through.) After about 2 hours, we had noticed that the room was pretty muggy and not pushing through any air (Prior to our departure we turned it on). The room phone doesn't work, so my spouse went down to notify the front desk. Engaged in the concern, they sent maintenance up right away to remedy the issue. We were greeted by Za-velle - very professional !! Prior to working on the AC He explained the process, So that we were aware of every step. I must comment that he is very knowledgeable of his profession!! Za-velle had fixed the air as he had to bring up some sort of machine to clear the moisture on the ac unit. The machine was pretty loud, yet he continuously apologized about the noise. Thus far, the hotel has lacked in room quality yet the staff here are amazing!! They smile, and they acknowledge their guest. Thank you, for leaving us with something to remember when we returned home to Ohio!! Honestly customer service is everything and your staff met our expectations!!! Thank you in advance for taking to the time to read our comment on our stay. I look forward to what future changes are done at the "W". For the hassle they didn't charge us for parking, which in my opinion wasn't enough. Parking- we had to beep to get in and out of the parking area which the assistance time took longer than necessary and often created an inconvenience. Read less
