They used All-star weekend as an excuse to give subpar service, everyone was not there for that reason. There was trash in the hallways and elevators. I took a shower and the water never drained, when I mentioned it to front desk they were very unbothered about my concern. People were rolling joints in the lobby, they did not enforce COVID-19 standards. I mentioned my concerns to multiple managers and compared them to a Holiday Inn and they chuckled as if it were funny. The hotel director helped me with my concerns, only to deny it the next day and insinuate that I was a lair. I called corporate and they were extremely disorganized and unhelpful. When I explained that I was thinking about becoming a member but my experience had me uninterested, they told me it was nothing they could do because I was not a member at the time of booking. Overall, I’m highly disappointed with the initial stay and the service there after. Seems to me that they only want a particular type of person to stay here, I will take my money elsewhere. Read less

It was a good stay and almost all the staff was nice enough until you meet this shockingly rudest and unprofessional staff who threw out your food from a food delivery without attempting to contact you before doing so. It was a good stay and almost all the staff was nice enough until you meet this shockingly rudest and unprofessional staff who threw out your food from a food delivery without attempting to contact you before doing so. As an agent from one of Marriott's luxury line hotels, she refused to provide her name because she was so ashamed of treating a customer terribly and insisted to not showing her business card nor ID to avoid identity verification from a customer. I hope you did your training again, "Catelyn Styles" if you were telling the truth, extremely disappointed with W and I will not come back again ever because of her. I feel bad for her pleasant coworkers who work their butt off to provide excellent service as always. I hope the management level really reached out to her to avoid any future frustration from other customers. Read less

My husband and I stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary Valentine’s Day weekend. We booked for a king suite which they upgraded. We get to the room it’s a queen bed. We called to complain, they said that was the biggest bed in the hotel. 10 min later we turn on the tv, it’s not working. We were told that other guess had complained and someone would be up to check on it. No one ever came. Saturday afternoon the tv begins to work. Our entire stay, there was this constant knocking. No one knew what we were talking about. Leaving one night we ran into a maintenance person who said it was the plumbing. The parking lot was a complete mess and took us forever to get out of due to construction. You go up an aisle to get out and have to back out because it’s closed off. There is 1 microwave in the whole hotel that you had to wait in line to use. On checkout day, we were charged twice!!! This was more than enough!!! My anniversary was a big disappointment needless to say. We weren’t given points or compensated in anyway. The staff acted as if they knew nothing. I wrote a review with the hotel directly with them responding by saying “ sorry your stay wasn’t pleasant, we will strive to do better next time”. There will not be a next time Read less

Checked into this property and was greeted by the bellman saying that there was no valet parking. WTH? Cars stacked up 2 deep as I try to navigate to self park. Never any explanation of why there was no valet parking offered. Check in was lengthy (not sure why it was taking so long to get people checked in), but each check-in line was 3 parties… Read more
Checked into this property and was greeted by the bellman saying that there was no valet parking. WTH? Cars stacked up 2 deep as I try to navigate to self park. Never any explanation of why there was no valet parking offered. Check in was lengthy (not sure why it was taking so long to get people checked in), but each check-in line was 3 parties deep! Annoying. We finally get to our room (we were placed in a handicapped room and we didn't request nor are we handicapped), and there was a strange lack of furniture in the room. Wide open spaces with literally 10' x 8' of space with no furniture. And there was only 1 mirror in the room, which was small and over the sink in the small bathroom. No full length mirror in the room. The room also felt like it needed a complete overhaul of carpets, upholstery, etc. We would have asked for another but we were pressed for time to get to a dinner with friends. Food service the next morning was, again, slow! PLEASE go elsewhere if you are staying in Midtown as our experience was dismal. Read less

I stay at this hotel often. The location is quite good (close to Piedmont park, and walking distance to many restaurants and bars). The rooms are just OK, and it is NOT worth it to upgrade here as the suites are blah at best. The staff is generally nice and the rates are generally reasonable relative to the other high-end hotels in this neighborhood. The main drawback is the the threadbare frills during these "covid" times. I know the virus is real (I've had it), but the cutbacks here do nothing to protect customers from covid. SOme examples: 1. All minibars have been removed from the room. How does this make us safer? 2. No magazines in room. 3. No do not disturb door signs (really? it has been proven that we are not passing covid in this way). 4. Spa is not open. Perhaps this is the most understandable downgrade, but there are many other hotels with open spas. 5. The biggest gripe is the food. I stay here every month or so and made the mistake of ordering room service. Everything is delivered in styrofoam containers. No real coffee pots, no flatware, no real condiments, etc. So, on this visit, I decided to have breakfast in the hotel "living room" which is open and serving food. No, the food is also delivered in styrofoam containers here. REAL PLATES AND GLASSWARE ARE NOT COVID SUPERSPREADER VEHICLES. This is absurd. It's not the end of the world, but I will not dine within this hotel until they reinstate real food service. This hotel is OK, and I've tried to be reasonable during covid end times, but some of these are easy fixes. Savvy customers realize that some of this stuff is just performative virtue signaling, and that none of these changes have done a thing to increase "safety". Instead, it just devalues the experience of staying at the hotel. Bad move. Read less
