Took a long tine to check in but it was probably more about the time of our arrival although they could probably could have used more staff at the desk. We found the lobby to be very noisy all the time. The hotel is located at the corner of Canal and Bourbon so is in a good location. Overall thr hotel is clean and convinient with a good restaurant on the property. The main issue was that the service level was lacking. Read less

This hotel is supposed to be a four star hotel, but the rooms seem like a two star hotel. This hotel is supposed to be a four star hotel, but the rooms seem like a two star hotel. The beds are terrible and after the first night of barely sleeping I complained and they showed me several other rooms with the same lousy, uncomfortable and noisy bed. After viewing the other rooms it was apparent that the one we had, had the worst view and the worst layout. Further the carpet was stained and the checkin and valet parking took forever. The location is great, but for this standard and service I would rather find a two or three star hotel with better service. You may easily use half an hour for checkin and half an hour to get your valet car, just as we did. Keep away as this hotel is not a four star and is only using its location to get visitors. I booked this hotel through a Groupon deal (secret hotel) and there was an initial issue with the reservation, which had me nervous. It took about 2 weeks but it was all resolved. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze. Rafi was so nice and recognized I was there for my birthday. There are 2 'wings' to the hotel. Our room was cozy and nice and… Read more

Upon arrival, check in was a breeze. Rafi was so nice and recognized I was there for my birthday. There are 2 'wings' to the hotel. Our room was cozy and nice and faced Canal Street. Spacious enough for 2 people. No dresser, which was different, but we made it work. Noise...I never heard loud guests stumbling in drunk. We did get the pleasure of a 2nd line outside our window one afternoon, which was so cool! Amenities were nice, pool was cool but relaxing on the roof. Checked out the gym but didn't use. The hotel is centrally located, close to EVERYTHING. No car needed. Ate at the Bourbon House in the hotel...charbroiled oysters and the Bourbon Milk Punch...YES! Great way to bring in a birthday! This place is in the heart of it all. The tram is literally in front of the hotel and is a bargain at three dollars for 24 hours. Great restaurants everywhere you turn and you can walk wherever you need to go or just Uber. Great restaurants everywhere you turn and you can walk wherever you need to go or just Uber. The parking is steep so unless you are on an expense account, you might want to rethink parking because that is $47.00. If you are a light sleeper, you will be sleepless. Party people stagger in at all hours and there is no soundproofing. Bring some good earplugs! Checking in was in slow motion so mostly, expect to check your bags with the bellman until your room is ready. When they say check-in is at 4 p.m., that is not far from reality. Once you are checked in, don’t expect quick servicing of your room. We had been out all day and at 4 p.m., the room was still not serviced. We made a call to remind them that we were waiting and we still waited almost another hour. Housekeeping is fair at best. Our bath mat was removed and not replaced. You may or may not have wash cloths. The liquid dispensers in the shower have a nice fragrance. There is no mini fridge but the room is spacious with high ceilings. The bed was comfortable but made odd sounds. The shower head is quite low. The fitness center was nice and so was the pool deck. Sounds of New Orleans as well as the smells of deliciousness were awesome. Read less
