Room was great, service was excellent, and Craig the bartender was excellent company for the evening. Very friends, and makes some amazing drinks. Food was also delicious, Shout out to the margarita pizza (just bring a friend to help you finish it)

However, I found that the hotel is overall not very clean. Area rugs look dirty and there was debris near elevators (gum wrappers, etc.). Cleaning staff did not service our room until 6pm one day and did not vacuum or dry mop the wood floors. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning; the service was very slow and food mediocre. On the positive side, the location is great - central though away from the craziness! Read less

My family and I stayed at the Q&C in mid-February. Location of hotel was pretty good (close to Mother's restaurant!) and some of the staff (doorman, morning breakfast server) were very attentive and helpful. However, our overall experience was very disappointing for the following reasons: 1. Poor quality rooms: Despite having Platinum status (eligible for upgrade), I was assigned what must have been the smallest and darkest room available. It was a "2 queen beds" room but the beds could barely fit in the room, there were only a few inches of space around each side of the bed--my husband stubbed his foot trying to walk around. It was also poorly lit and the bathroom door (sliding) did not work well. It was so depressing I immediately started looking to see if there was another hotel we could move to (unfortunately we could not cancel our reservation without a fee). While doing so, I noticed that Q&C's website had larger rooms available that same evening--meaning, they could have provided me with an upgraded room. As it was late in the evening and we had started to unpack, I decided to wait until the next day to ask for an upgraded room. We were moved to a larger room the next day, but even that room was not very nice. The shower tile was worn down and brown (should have been white). I actually cannot believe this hotel is considered to be a 4* level hotel. I have had nicer rooms at Best Western/Hampton Inn type properties. 2. Unauthorized/fraudulent charge for extra night: I made arrangements for a late checkout (4 pm) and we checked out of the hotel right at 4 pm (receipt timestamped at 4:09 pm). My family then left the hotel for the airport. Later that evening, I checked my Marriott app and saw that my reservation had mysteriously been extended for an additional night; the following day I checked my credit card account and it had been charged for an additional night's stay. I did not receive an email receipt or notification from the hotel of this additional night's charge. After inquiring with Marriott about the extra charge, I was advised by the hotel GM that the extra night's charge was incurred b/c housekeeping had reported our bags were still in the room at 5:00 pm, past our checkout time. Fortunately, I had a Lyft receipt showing that we had left the hotel well before 5:00 pm and only after showing that receipt was I able to get the additional charge reversed. The hotel provided me with some extra reward points to make up for this, but the entire experience raises serious questions as to the integrity of the hotel's staff. The hotel never even bothered to contact me about the alleged overstay or send a receipt for the additional charges to my email account -- this suggests bad faith conduct on their part. (I missed a phone call while i was at the airport but no voicemail message was left so I had no idea the call was from the hotel--I had to look up the phone number to realize the missed call was from the hotel.) It is worth noting that I have also noticed other guests reporting issues with housekeeping staff either not cleaning rooms or doing so very late in the day, and unauthorized charges for parking etc. It sure seems like this hotel has problem with some of the staff being dishonest. My recommendation--try the Le Meridien, JW Marriott or Marriott instead--all 3 are within a few blocks of the Q&C and looked a LOT nicer than this hotel. Read less

Orrin at the breakfast bar was attentive and friendly. We looked forward to seeing him each morning. We felt like we should say goodbye to him when we left. The room and bathroom were a bit small to us spoiled Americans, but this place was not built yesterday. We will stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans. Read less

If you are looking for a little off the French Quarter but walking distance, do it. I will stay there again...and believe me although it was my first visit to NOLA its not my last!! Rooms are tiny but certainly adquate and remember you are in an old building. If you want a little more quiet stay on one of the top floors. You may need the sleep!!! Read less
