Located in historic building with rustic decor reflecting pure essence of the city. Very comfortable and quiet rooms. Excellent and friendly staff. Located just near the French quarters. Special thanks to Vanessa from front desk for always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate.

Really interesting property with unique rooms and spaces. Exposed brick in the room added to the ambiance as did the decor throughout the hotel. We didn’t have a lot of staff interaction, but when we did, they were all very welcoming and friendly fro front desk, doorman and valet. Every staff that walked by said hello which in this world is becoming increasingly rare. We liked that this hotel was on the other side of Canal St. than the French Quarter as it was quieter and one could actually relax and sleep. It was a very easy walk of a few quick blocks to get to the Quarter. If we are in NOLA again, we will definitely be back. One issue with an incorrect charge to my bill that was removed when I emailed the manager. Just check your bill. Read less

Stay Report - 7/10 - 7/11 Location: Well located for visiting New Orleans.  The hotel is three blocks south of Canal so you're within easy walking distance of The French Quarter, the casino, the acquarium etc. but you're also a bit removed from the loud crowds and the tourists.  You can also walk to a lot of restaurants both chain and local.  MSY is a $35 Uber ride away and there's a parking garage directly across the street. Hotel: The hotel is a little strange.  A 12 story building has the check in desks and restaurant and most of the rooms and across Natchez (which is a weird alley/street hybrid) is a smaller building which also has some rooms. The lobby is very pretty to look at and has a full service bar with some great liquors as well as a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Check In: I arrived late (11:30 PM) and during a weird week where there are storms but also aren't storms (the weather report seems to change hourly).  The agent on duty was friendly and helpful and told me I'd been upgraded to a Skyline King and offered points or breakfast and confirmed the 1 PM checkout that I requested. Room: Ugh, small.   I'm not sure what the upgrade conferred on me meant but the room was basically just a small bedroom with a weird desk/closet thing at one end along with a TV.  It was not a pleasant place to work in.  On the positive sides, the bathroom had a really nice shower and the Wifi worked well and there was power near the bed.  Furthering the negative side: soundproofing is awful.  You can hear every word spoken in the hallway and when you're in the hallway you can hear whatever people are talking about in their rooms.   Dining: The breakfast benefit is ordering off the menu.  I had a breakfast sandwich and OJ which were good.  I came down for lunch later and found the lunch menu to be pretty limited and took expensive for what you get.  The Wagyu Burger was $18 and doesn't come with fries for example.   The location of this hotel works and the rates are tempting on weekdays but I'm in NO for work and working out of the small room wasn't much fun.  I'll probably go back to the nearby Courtyard next time.   Read less

Walls are paper thin so if you value your sleep, don't stay here. We had the most obnoxious loud neighbors and complained to the hotel concierge twice. Only stayed one night, I would have switched hotels due to loud partying guests.
