So after reading the mixed reviews of good and bad on this hotel,I was a little apprehensive to stay here but my husband and I went ahead. It was a decent and clean hotel.I guess people are picky about different things but none of the things people listed in their reviews(needing updated, doesnt look like the pictures shown, elevators not working, etc) did not bother me one bit because we were there for one night.Like I said,it was clean, the beds were comfortable, rooms had good space(probably bigger than Ive ever experienced) and I thought the hotel had character instead of looking at it like it was old..Everything I read in other reviews such as the floor having a small gap when getting on the elevator(you weren't going to fall through it or anything, geesh),yes there was one elevator working but there was never a line to wait, its funny I read that there actually was a small wad of paper in the peep hole and this actually was true but who cares? The tub did drain a little bit but that was fixed once I made sure the tub stopper was completely pulled up.No this hotel is not the 5 star Marriot or high end hotel but it wasn't a low budget motel either. If you are picky about little things,I suggest you not stay here but if you want a clean, decent, comfortable stay with a beautiful lobby, this hotel is for you. Also the check in clerk,I believe her name was Lademia or something to that effect was so nice and talked to us like she had known us for years, she even let us check in early since the room was available. Thanks Millennium for a nice stay! We stayed 3 nights here. The atmosphere here was nice. The only issue I found was only 1 elevator was in operation which led to wait times. The rooms were adequate and the beds comfortable. The restaurant was closed due to Covid 19 but all in all, we had a good stay.

I don't know how old the photos of the hotel are, but they are a complete misrepresentation of what you'll be paying for. If you’re paying any money to stay here, you are overpaying. I don't know how old the photos of the hotel are, but they are a complete misrepresentation of what you'll be paying for. If you’re paying any money to stay here, you are overpaying. This hotel may have been fabulous back in the day, but it is evident as soon as you walk into the lobby that this hotel has seen hard times. It honestly should be condemned or torn down. I’ve stayed at the Millennium Biltmore House in LA, and had wonderful stay, so maybe I expected more from the Millennium Maxwell House. Our stay was only 1 night, and I would not have stayed another night even if we were paid. After checking in with difficulty (they didn’t get our reservation through Expedia), we were greeted by a pile of soiled towels and linens in front of the door to our room. It all went downhill from there. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, which the front desk was unsurprised and unconcerned about. If you stay here, I challenge you to find a single surface or item with no stain. The walls, towels, bedsheets, and even sink countertop had stains. The next charming feature of our room was the mold by the bathtub, which coordinated nicely with the peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. There was also definitely blood on the shower curtain. If you can’t decide between a shower and a bath, don’t worry you can have both! The diverter valve for the shower is defective so you get the same amount of water from the shower head and tub faucet dumping water into the tub. Try not to drop anything since there is no drain cover, but the tub also doesn’t drain, so I guess you would be fine.. Make sure to keep your shower-bath quick so you don’t flood the bathroom! Although it would probably be the best clean that room has had… The sink (also missing a drain cover) drains marginally better - as in essentially not at all. If you’re looking for something to do during your stay, you can wait for the elevator! There is only one working elevator for the entire hotel and it is slower than molasses sliding down an iceberg in the dead of winter in the North Pole. You can wait around with other guests as you all contemplate taking the stairs. If you want a snack or ice, vending and ice machines are available. Hopefully you won’t mind company, since cockroaches like to party in that area. Sleeping would have been one of the better parts of our stay had the headboard not come loose from the wall mounts in the middle of the night and dropped to the ground like the solid chunk of wood it is. Favorite part of our stay? Definitely checking out. One positive: There is a pool. It was fine. Read less

Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this stay which I had really been looking forward to. We were not informed that the free downtown shuttle was out of service until we got to the check-in counter - we received no email, nor was the website updated with this information. The free shuttle was the #1 reason we booked this hotel, so that was frustrating and caused major changes in our plans. The website also had special offers listed that we would get as a result of booking directly through their website - none of which were we offered at the hotel nor did we ever receive. Few employees were ever available or even visible at the front desk for questions, too. The room was fine, but it was evident that it was simply an older hotel that is not being too well kept. Only one elevator was in service, too, which caused some difficulty. It was okay, but for the way that this hotel is displayed and marketed as an impressive hotel with nice features in a good location, it was discouraging. Read less

I stayed here on business once. The lounge had lots of games and people. They really encourage social behavior. I also seem to remember there being a free burger dinner and breakfast buffet. Free parking. Decent room. Nice amenities.
