My boyfriend and I visited this hotel on valentines weekend. Everything was great, we got massages, went to a comedy show, saw most of downtown using the people mover. SN: Greatest invention ever. My boyfriend and I visited this hotel on valentines weekend. Everything was great, we got massages, went to a comedy show, saw most of downtown using the people mover. SN: Greatest invention ever. Anywho when we got back to South Carolina I received a confirmation email thanking us for our weekend stay, checking out on 2/16. However 2 days later I received ANOTHER confirmation email stating we checked out on 2/18. I check my bank and see they have attempted to charge my card 2 more nights (luckily most of it declined) so I call the hotel and was told there’s no manager I could talk to about it but some how 2 strangers were able to get in our checked out room and police were actually involved. Now since they claimed they new us the FRONT DESK authorized the payment ?!?! So you mean to tell me if I lose my room key and some stranger finds it and tell u they “know me” you take their word and charge MY card! So I call for a week straight and try to talk with a manager who doesn’t even have the curtesy to speak with me about the situation. I was able to speak with Bebe in accounting who was helpful, they issued one night back but have yet to issue the other night. Very frustrated guest Read less

This hotel was right across from the General Motors Renaissance Center and a short walk from the river. It snowed my first day there so we didn't go far, but it was convenient to where we needed to go.

Too bad though. Our room on 10th floor reeked of old socks, but others in our group complained of that or smoke or weed. It's an old place and past its prime. Mattresses were a wee bit lumpy and you cannot control the room temps. FRONT was helpful and fun and engaging - good folks there doing a great job. PROPERTY is tired, kinda smelly,… Read more

But I rate it AVERAGE because - sadly - this is what $200/nt hotels are like these days. Read less

What an incredible hotel! The service beginning at the service desk was amazing! The ladies at the desk were friendly, courteous and attentive! The smiles on the ladies at the desk were contagious! The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Our room overlooked the Detroit River, Belle Isle and Canada. The bed was extremely comfortable. The television had plenty of channels to surf, and the refrigerator and microwave was a plus. The housekeeper forgot to fill the container for coffee, and only left two towels. Immediately we notified the front desk, who immediately sent up both items. The hotel has two restaurants in the lobby an IHOP ( breakfast) and an Applebee’s. The Applebee’s has a bar, which was quite crowded when we arrived. The drinks were inexpensive and very good. The female bartender was extremely friendly and attentive. The parking on site is valet and will cost $33.00 a night. There isn’t a self parking lot near the hotel. Wonderful hotel! Read less
