Perfect stay for a visit to the Grand Canyon

The stay was perfect for a 3 night visit to the Grand Canyon. Only the south rim is open at this time. The room was clean and had everything we needed including a keurig coffee maker. The stay was perfect for a 3 night visit to the Grand Canyon. Only the south rim is open at this time. The room was clean and had everything we needed including a keurig coffee maker. We used the indoor hot tub, ate at the restaurant for breakfast (ask for the house made salsa-spicy and delicious) and had a drink in the pub. It was very quiet due to COVID and the off season. Only one other family in the restaurant for breakfast and only us in the pub. Service was friendly and quick. Margarita was tasty and fairly priced. The bowling area and arcade were closed which was understandable due to the pandemic. Everyone was wearing masks and being safe. Housekeeping did not come in the room, if we needed amenities or clean towels we needed only ask.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Staff is friendly. Location is perfect for visiting the Grand Canyon. We needed a handicapped room and it worked perfectly for our needs. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrived at this hotel after another hotel we were scheduled to stay at lost power. I’d like to mention that we had stayed at this property two previous times, so I knew what the hotel was like beforehand.
We were cordially greeted. We went to our room right after checking in and soon found out that our thermostat wasn’t working. It wouldn’t light up. It did nothing. We called the front desk and someone came fairly quickly. He said the panel needed new batteries. He fixed it and we were fine for the rest of our time there.
We ate breakfast there. When we first arrived in town we were told it was expensive. However, at $6.99 for a full hot breakfast in the dining area, it was a reasonable price. There was plenty of food to eat.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.

However, all the extra things that we booked the hotel for were a bust. The "bowling alley" and "Fun center" were closed, and we were told they only opened on Friday and Saturdays. A similar issue with the gift shop/store on premises. These amenities should not be highlighted in the hotel's description, as it's one of the big reasons we chose the hotel. All of the cozy winter pictures of the outdoor fireplaces and heated lamps were for picture purpose only apparently, as it was cold out and not one of those things were on to be enjoyed. Breakfast was expensive and pretty close to gross. My son got pancakes that tasted like they were made of old batter. And then there was the room....Had the best attitude we could about nothing being what we'd hoped, but figured at least we'd settle in to a beautiful room. Nope...room about the quality you'd expect of a $65/night room. The worst one of our entire vacation, yet the most expensive. This is a hotel that turned out to be a beautiful lobby facade with nothing that made it worth the price paid. Blah.

If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.
Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
