We enjoyed our stay at Maswik. It is conveniently located within the village with free parking and walking distance to the rim. It is convenient to have a selection of food right there for breakfast, including a grill where they make breakfast sandwiches to order. We book these room prior to visiting the Grand Canyon and we were excited to be staying in the South Rim, unfortunately 2 weeks prior to our visit we were notified that there will be construction going on from 9-5 Monday-Friday. They were aware that this construction would be going on at the beginning of the year yet our agent never shared that information when we were booking our room. Now 2 weeks out and I will be scrambling for another option. We have an 8 year old daughter with special needs and the noise of the construction as well as all the dust get stirred up would have been a nightmare the entire time. Thank God we did get an email prior to showing up. All of their other hotels in the park where booked up and they did not offer any sort of discount if we moved to another one of their hotels outside the park. Not impressed. Read less

From the front desk to the room service, made my experience at the Grand Canyon memorable! If you would like service that will go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable, enjoyable, and family friendly. Stay here! Not too many places can accommodate a family of 14 with ease, this place made it happen and again we thank you.

We stayed two nights at the Maswik Lodge after riding the train into Grand Canyon National Park. Enjoyed everything about the Lodge except for the distance from our cottage to the main area. We got back after a late tour and it was not easy walking to our cabin because there were no lights.

Located a very short walk from the rim ( 5 minutes at most ). This hotel is used for all of the railway packages. Rated as a two star, it is actually more of a 3 star hotel. The rooms are located away from the main building in various cabin style buildings and are quite quiet and peaceful. our room was large with two queen beds,, nice bathroom… Read more

The rooms are located away from the main building in various cabin style buildings and are quite quiet and peaceful. our room was large with two queen beds,, nice bathroom and view. The main building is reception, gift shop. transportation and food court. While this NOT a resort, it is a well run and convenient place to stay. When our next railway adventure occurs, our heads will rest at The Maswik Lodge Read less
