Cute cabins that sort of look like little apartments from the outside because they are 2 floors with just a few units. Has that western decor to them which is interesting. Easy to park close by to the building. Not the fanciest room, but clean and convienient. It's great for the park and restaurants are close by. There might be other places to… Read more

There might be other places to stay in the park, but they would be more money and harder to get a room. These are wonderful locations in the park, and it's worth it to stay in the park as opposed to getting a room outside the gate. These will work fine. Make a reservation in the park as soon as you know your travel dates. Read less

Maswik Lodge is a lodge set back from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The rooms are clean and spacious. The room we had was newly renovated and on the second floor of Redbud Lodge. The lodges are all a 5-10 minute walk to the rim train and all the activity around the rim....which include El Tovar. There is a cafeteria style eatery right in… Read more

The lodges are all a 5-10 minute walk to the rim train and all the activity around the rim....which include El Tovar. There is a cafeteria style eatery right in the main area and the food is plentiful and very good. We ate breakfast and lunch there. We did have an issue with making our way back from El Tovar - where we had dinner after watching the sunset on the rim. The pathways are not well-marked and even with a flashlight, we got lost. When we found our way to Maswik, we had even more trouble (along with other guests) finding our lodge. I went back to the main desk and the sweet deskclerk escorted us to our lodge. Read less

The room we had was on the second floor. It had high ceilings, a ton of space, balcony, and large bathroom. It's cabin style but clean and comfortable. No elevators, easy access to the shuttle bus. This lodge is the furthest from the main visitor center (and I believe rim as well) but it was completely worth it to not have to drive in before our… Read more

The lodge had accomodations in separate buildings. Ours was the furthest away from the main building and was quite a walk. The Food Court had a wide variety of choices, but the food was average and over-priced, as was everything. One good thing was the shuttle bus stopped right in front of the lodge. My husband and I soon discovered that, if… Read more

My husband and I soon discovered that, if we walked through the woods (as others had apparently done), we would have a shorter walk to another shuttle bus stop. Read less

We had a very nice lodge set amongst the trees with deer and elk walking past at sunset. Only five minute walk from the rim. A pain no WiFi but understandable given the lodge location. And WiFi in reception and in the market place and other locations.
