We travelled here last year october 2019,this lodge was part of a trip we did with The Grand Canyon Railway(which this review is not about). On arrival at The Lodge it was utter caous-2 people serving at the front desk,a que out the door,we had previously tried to check in but was told our room wasnt ready. We had an evening sunset tour of the rim booked that left at 16.10 our room which had our luggage in was finally allocated to us at 1600,we literally had 10 minutes to get changed grab some bits and get back to reception for our trip. On returning to our room,it was dark and dismal, not cleaned properly, one set of sheets were marked and dirty,it was quite frankly awful. we went to reception and complained but it was 2200 hours by this time, nothing could be done until the morning. We made the best of it but it really was a massive dissapointment,we didnt pick this lodge it was part of a package-i have pointed out to The Grand Canyon railway that this place lets them down. The food in the food court there is massively overpriced $1.89 for ONE bananna! We bought a filled sub roll whilst there and payed on our post office debit card, about a month ago we had notification from our debit card that 2 transactions had been taken on our card and they wanted to know if we were still in the grand canyon? obviously we werent but some low life -had to be a staff member had cloned our card and used it to steal from our account.....we have our money back but someone else may not be so lucky. My advice if your thinking of staying here -Dont. Read less

She takes after her old man in her ability to make great decisions. Maswik served as our 2 day HQ for our 3 day visit to explore the Grand Canyon. Concierge provided great advice on ideal viewing spots for both sunrise and sunset. We chose to visit in January to avoid busy season. For sunrise, take a blanket from your room to add warmth. Then head back to the food court for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, grab a fudge sample in the gift shop before heading back out on the trails. Read less

We only stayed at the Maswik Lodge one night but enjoyed our stay. I loved the room decor and appreciated the small table and chairs. Could use extra outlets or usb ports for charging devices. We unplugged a couple lamps to use the outlets. There is food service and a lovely gift shop in the lodge. We ate at the pizza pub. The pizza was… Read more

The asian wings (i think a special) were delicious. There was a decent selection of draft beer and TV’s with the game (NFL play-offs) on. . Read less

Not a new place, but very clean and a great location within the park. Has every amenity we needed. I loved that it was just a few steps from the very nice buffet style restaurant, which was perfect for getting a good, quick meal (with a lot of variety) before heading out to hike, bike, etc. Staying elsewhere would have meant a bus ride to and from… Read more

No WiFi in room, only WiFi in Lodge - which I was unable to connect to. Lodge has cafeteria style food items - a wide variety, also has pizza and pub area. Check in and check out is easy , decent value for the rate. Read less
