Our condo was clean, spacious and comfortable and we had access to the crystal clear infinity pool and plenty of parking. The kitchen was large and fairly well-equipped and the check-in and check out process was straightforward and easy. Our particular unit did not have any beach gear - no chairs, umbrellas or anything, and while there were plenty of plates and pans, there were no cooking basics like salt and pepper, which we found a bit odd. We did get plenty of towels, both bath and beach towels, and it was easy to get more when we needed them. The place was pretty quiet other than the mowing that seemed to begin most days at sunrise. Overall, we had a great say and would return again. Read less

Loved the condo, the view of the golf course, the sunsets, and the proximity to shops and restaurants. Our second floor condo was roomy and clean. We have rented condos in various areas on the big island and we prefer Fairway Villas. It’s pretty, close to everything, can walk everywhere. Nice views. The complex is kept up and has many beautiful plants. Miniature golf is close and not a bad price. There is a $2 one way trolley shuttle you can take to check out the dolphins at the Hilton.… Read more

I just wanted to respond to the person from NZ who said there is not much to Waikoloa. I just wanted to respond to the person from NZ who said there is not much to Waikoloa. WELL, we have at least 2 dozen world class restaurants, many cafes and a food court, 4 luaus per week, the best restaurants right on the beach with live music and hula dancers every night, free performances in the Queens and Kings Shops area, free classes for learning ukulele, lei making, hula plus a free tour of the petroglyphs, snorkeling an a dozen other water sports, whale and dolphin watching, a walking path for miles along the beach, the best beaches on the island, all within a 15 minute drive, 2 grocery stores, a Starbucks, great shopping, a farmers market, a movie theater plus a live theater with great shows about 30 minutes away in Waimea. To find out what’s going on, just Google the month’s calendar at the Kings or Queens shops or Kahilu Theater. Oh, plus golf, swimming, organized bike rides, several yoga classes each day, (yes, on the beach), experiences with dolphins, paddling with the outrigger club and scuba diving. In addition, it is very safe and quiet at night, it’s without the crowds, and when there was VOG, we did not have any. You will not get this in Kona. Lest I mention......we have more sun and less rain and clouds! Just FYI. Read less
