I know they just changed this from a Courtyard to a Sheraton, but they are not ready to accommodate guests . The only restaurant for lunch or dinner is the bar which is the same menu all day long. There are a number of large screen TVs in the bar area and in the restaurant. None of them work. I was told they’re working on it and have been for a… Read more

There are a number of large screen TVs in the bar area and in the restaurant. None of them work. I was told they’re working on it and have been for a couple weeks. Really, how hard is it to get Cable or direct tv turned on? Beach path is under construction. Don’t stay until they get their act together. Read less

The pool is open, remodel is almost complete. The place looks great but the staff seems very unhappy. As a Kamaaina (Hawaii Resident) who travels frequently I don’t think I have been to a less friendly hotel in Hawaii. Did one night here and that was plenty. Pros The “new” hotel (Sheraton) is incredible. Everything is new, fantastic pool area and the design of new hotel is very, very well done. Breakfast restaurant & coffee bar are well done & workers are the only friendly people on property. Cons Front desk overwhelmed & not present with guests Marriott (Bonvoy) Status unrecognized & worthless at this property Bell service is so bad they have to bike lock the luggage-racks so guests dont self serve their own bags Marriott Bonvoy App does not work at this resort Charged a “Resort fee” for a property under construction Read less

We found the staff to be very helpful and polite at this Marriott/Sheraton hotel. The pools are open and quite nice, fire pits are working, but some of the surrounding pool area is still under construction when we were there (laying tile, lawn work). Roosters roam the property (the pretty much do what they want in Kaua’i) and were walking… Read more

The pools are open and quite nice, fire pits are working, but some of the surrounding pool area is still under construction when we were there (laying tile, lawn work). Roosters roam the property (the pretty much do what they want in Kaua’i) and were walking through the restaurant at breakfast - which I thought was hilarious and added to the ambience. We had finished eating when it decided to hop up on the table. Our room was small but clean, and though a bit noisy, the AC worked fine. I would stay here again. Read less

Hotel is beautiful. We were a little bummed the pool wasn't done yet but that will be awesome too. The staff isnt very friendly which is not what I'm use to at marriott. Hotel is beautiful. We were a little bummed the pool wasn't done yet but that will be awesome too. The staff isnt very friendly which is not what I'm use to at marriott. My first room smelled odd and I felt bad complaining because I was staying at a very discounted rate. We were moved and the second room smelled too but not as bad. We made it work. I felt we were shoved in the construction area because of the rate. Oh well. Maid service kept replenishing towels which was nice but not necessary as I was trying to help with water conservation. Oh well. Front desk always gave out the you're bothering me vibe. Bellman were nice but again I was always the first to greet them. I was over charged in the bar and when I asked the waitress she said I wasn't. Again, I know I was but I let it go as it was only about $6. Not a big deal. I would come back and excited to see the finished pool. Nice place and located directly on beach. Travel concierge was super helpful! Overall nice hotel but the people need to step up the customer service a bit. We always felt not welcomed. Very odd feeling but not enough to stop us from going back. Rooms are beautiful! Read less

Large part of the hotel’s grounds are still be worked on - floor tiling in the restaurant, a lot of cement work still going on, open soil grounds with no vegetation at all, excavators, etc. Understand hotel is undergoing renovation so maybe return in 2-3 months. Bicycles - free bikes to use. But definitely need maintenance. Rusting, brakes not working well, screws need to be tightened. F&B is very very thin. Breakfast buffet unbelievably small and runs out fast. A la carte menu is limited. Lunch and dinner is only at the bar by the pool. Same menu for both meals. And menu is super limited. Seems like there is nothing to order. Don’t feel like eating in the hotel as I feel like there is nothing I want to eat every time I look at the menu. Room - got the junior suite which is a huge single room. Expected a living room in a suite. Room is so big that I can put in 3-4 more rollout beds. Bathroom and wardrobe is ridiculously small compared to the room size. Not well planned and laid out. Appreciate that it’s newly done and the USB sockets beside the bed on both sides. But expected a bigger bathroom in comparison to the room size. Read less
