Jackie at the reception was kind and helpful to us throughout the stay. I am an Ambassador Elite and she made sure that we got an upgrade to a nice ocean view room. We were also promptly offered breakfast passes without asking. Breakfast buffet at the hotel is wonderful. The spread is huge and there is a cook to order omelette station. I was impressed by the hospitality and service of the staff as well. Perhaps, the best part are the amenities. The resort offers beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and beach toys (kids) - all included in the $20/day resort fees. We are early risers and never had any issues in securing the gear. My family was delighted by the experience the resort offered. We would definitely stay here again. Read less

We went back to give it another try, but were sadly disappointed the second time around. I recommend staying here once they train their housekeeping staff properly. In the meantime, I’d definitely be concerned about hygienic issues. Aside from the pubic hairs stuck to the soap dish, when my mom and I were given a new room that turned out not to be ready yet and subsequently went back to wait in our old room only minutes later, we found that it had miraculously already been “cleaned” which included housekeeping merely making up the 2 beds that my mom and I had each sat on and laid in. So, the next person staying in that room did not get fresh sheets. When I told the front desk, I was met with indifference and told I’d need to speak to housekeeping. Actually, I don’t manage housekeeping or work for the hotel, so that would not be my responsibility. Moreover, I was told that housekeeping probably just does a quick job because mostly airline staff stay there, and they don’t care how clean it is. So, instead of attempting to correct the issue, an excuse and justification was provided instead. Due to the hygiene issues, I won’t return here. However, it’s otherwise a nice property. Read less

Its also an easy drive to the cute town of Kapaa where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Hotel is nestled in a tropical landscape so you feel miles away from the highway. While The beach out front isn't swimmable, there are plenty of other nearby beaches to explore. The pool area is fantastic. Pool is large enough to actually swim. Plenty of chairs, umbrellas, bar area serving delicious snacks and drinks. You can also have breakfast by the pool. There's a morning yoga class under a tree right by the ocean. Our room was bright and modern, comfortable and really well designed to make the most of space. Plenty of room for everything. Bed is comfortable and shower has great water pressure. What more could anyone ask at such an affordable price! Read less

My wife and I were there for Thanksgiving to visit our nephews. Yes, I like fish cooked soft, seared, and raw. Most area restaurants had two fish selections this November. Moamoa had four and is in the Sheraton next to the pool and serves very tasty dishes. I enjoyed the macadamia crusted ono with a brown delicious sauce. My wife had Udon noodles… Read more

We were seated next to the glass doors by the Pool and bar. With two locals who agreed to remember this place. Two years ago this was a Marriot and after a remodel it is a Sheraton. Read less

The beds/sheets/and towels were all soft and comfortable. There was a small mini fridge, safe, coffee maker that only used the coffee pods that were provided, as well as a huge TV in the room. AC worked well. House keeping was great. Food was really good at the bar, especially the burger with the pineapple on it. We received two free mai tais which was a nice touch. The balcony is pretty small, it'll fit two people as long as neither of you want to move. We loved the complimentary Kauai coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Our room was very quiet. We never heard any of our neighbors unlike some hotels. We also really liked not having a view of the pool but a straight shot of the ocean, we were room 329. The ocean is not swimmable here and is very rocky, but we were fortunate enough to see a couple monk seals sleeping on the beach. We don't really spend much time at resorts other than to sleep and get ready. So we would highly recommend the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach! Read less
