Despite being the first time my fiance and I have had professional photos taken of us, Jared made the process very smooth and enjoyable. We wanted him to provide guidance and he did. Jared captured many spectacular photos of us in various settings. He was creative with the shots, and even encouraged us to try out new locations with him (which were some of our favorites!). We appreciated how much variety there was to the photos in terms of style, settings, poses, etc. Overall, our experience with Pacific Dream Photography was very positive and resulted in many beautiful photos we will be sharing with friends and family. We're very thankful for Jared to have been able to so beautifully capture this special time in our lives. Read less

We have avoided this hotel based on the recent negative reviews on both of our visits to Kauai this year. Despite the amazing location and reputation prior to the change in ownership we opted to stay at other luxury resorts including Koloa Landing and Grand Hyatt. Due to a snafu in our booking we inadvertently had no hotel for one night of our stay this time around. We took this opportunity to try out this hotel. We couldn’t be happier and so happy we did. We were sad we only had one night and had to leave so early. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise overlooking Hanalei bay from our room was unbelievable. Just a stones throw away from our room was the stunning infinity pool and private BEACH. It was quiet, clean, opulent and inviting. After reading reviews we did pay attention to the exterior of the building and decor and yes it is dated but who is looking at that when you walk out to see Hanalei bay. Rooms were huge and offered a private lanai with sunbathing chairs. We will be back! This has been our favorite hotel on Kauai to date. Read less

She did me a solid🤠 The Princeville Resort is a gold nugget in the beautiful Island of Kauai. She has us in the Princeville Suite which is about 1200 sq feet. It has a large bathroom joining the master bedroom, on the right and on the left are two 3 panel window seats with opening windows and wood window covers. The suite comes with a large entry sitting area and big flat scree t.v . Also the room comes with breakfast from one of the better hotel brunch’s o I’ve had the pleasure of dinning at! The Resort is a bit dated, but in a Hawaii charming way.. There is lots of stuff to see on the island, I would suggest to rent a car at the airport, there are no cars for rental any where near the Resort. The Staff is a solid one I would give them 5 owls out of 5👍! If your looking for a nice quiet place to chill, try out this Resort. Read less

Everything I had was excellent- the special eggs Benedict on their menu, the guava juice, another morning having their coconut French toast and fresh squeezed orange juice, another morning their pastry platter. The view of Hanalei Bay is amazing! One morning there were clouds moving thru that were raining as they passed (even on the patio the restaurant stays dry) and we saw multiple rainbows moving over the bay!! How beautiful. Also you can go down to the beach and the swimming and snorkeling are fun. Read less

I never write reviews. Ever. But I first came to this hotel 15 years ago in what I consider one of the best family vacations I'd ever been on. Back then, this hotel was magical. I never write reviews. Ever. But I first came to this hotel 15 years ago in what I consider one of the best family vacations I'd ever been on. Back then, this hotel was magical. It was grand and beautiful. A true 5 star resort. So when my boyfriend and I planned a trip to Hawaii (his first ever) I insisted we stay at The Princeville. We were both so excited to stay at a 5 star resort and I was so excited to show him the place he'd been hearing so much about. I'll cut to the chase. This was THE WORST hotel/motel/bnb experience I have ever encountered. I know what you're thinking. "Oh she's just being picky and bratty." No. I promise you. This place has become a dump. It truly feels like The Sochi olympics of 5 star hotels. It's vibe is like a second rate Overlook Hotel. I feel bad for the staff because at one time this place was really something. And they can only do so much because they are criminally understaffed. After a night of sleeping on a towel because our sheets were stained with blood and dirt, we work up to take a nice stroll around the pool. No one had cleaned up from the night before. There were cups and half eaten sandwiches and napkins everywhere. It was like we had walked into a house party. Every singly garbage can we passed was filled to the brim with trash. Hallways had left over room service trays that didn't get picked for a full day. One woman was working at the pool. ONE! And though she was trying her hardest, there was nowhere for her to clean up people's trash. Every garbage can was overflowing. There was mold on the pool umbrellas, trash on the beach. The thing is, the view is so nice that they can stay open and rip people off because people love looking out at the scenery. But to take people's money like that. I can't imagine if I had been on a honeymoon and seen pictures online and then seen what it really looked like. The staff there seemed like they'd almost been trained to not admit any guilt. No one seemed happy. It was really really shocking. Please, do not stay here. It is immoral what they are doing. Do yourself a favor and stay down on the south end and take a day trip or two up north to the NaPali coast and Hanalei. But do not waste your money with this grifter of a hotel. They are slimy and they SHOULD NOT BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. This is still considered a 5 star hotel because of the AMENITIES they offer. They are scamming people because they can say they are still the great hotel they once were because they have a spa and a restaurant. We left two days earlier and found a wonderful hotel elsewhere. It was DAY and NIGHT in difference. Also, I fully expect a canned response from Princeville below saying how sorry they are. I've seen it on every other negative tripadvisor review. Spare me the BS, Princeville. PLEAE! TAKE YOUR VACATION ELSEWHERE! Read less
