We loved our time at this small, beautiful resort. While simple, It was a magical property. Can't wait to go back. The ocean is steps away from the rooms and the food at the restaurant was great. Great place to take groups or family.

Best location. Sunny side of the island. Great beach for long walks. Cottages were vintage, cozy, clean and comfortable. Love out ocean view. Staff were friendly. On site restaurant was good. Had a very enjoyable stay.

This is one of the cutest, nicest places I’ve stayed in a long while. Let me preface this by saying my wife is an old house freak, and I enjoy country living.... When you arrive, you will see a cluster of cute bungalows and chickens running around. And that’s exactly what this place is. It is very well kept 1900s or earlier bungalows set on a beautiful compound. The compound is extremely well kept with crews buzzing around, maintaining it. The pool is refreshingly not heated, and a great reprieve from the strong sun. The bungalows are well stocked with items you will need for a short or long stay. There are coffee makers, an oven, fridge, plates, cups, all the stuff you might need for an extended stay or a more thriftier stay. We found we needed to use all these items the first night, as the town rolls up its sidewalks around 6pm. The town is a wonderful quaint farming hamlet. The restaurants are mainly open for lunch or a very early dinner. The food is extremely fresh and well prepared. If you want people to cater to your every whim, bartenders to serve you drinks poolside, this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for a glimpse into Hawaii’s past, great climate, and a wonderful quiet stay, I’d suggest looking further into staying here. Read less

Each is situated so as to have a view of the ocean from the lanai. Great place to relax out of the main tourist areas. The cottages are historic and have no sound-proofing so make sure you're traveling with people that you're very comfortable with. Fabulous lanai for relaxing. Only the master had A/C so main living area and other bedrooms were quite warm even in January. Sheets are poor quality for this hotel… Read more
