This resort is gorgeous. The views are amazing and the private cove is such a safe place to connect with your family while enjoying the water. One of our favorite spots to watch the sunset is on the private beach. The location is great. Super easy to hop in a car and visit multiple locations on the island.

When we arrived we expected certain amenities not to be available due to covid , such as housekeeping etc... What we didn’t expect was the lack of concern from the management after we experienced a drill that took place in the pool where our five year old daughter was swimming. A fake drowning took place. When we arrived we were not let known that such drills would take place periodically. After reaching out to management because of the lack of warning all that the gentleman on the other side of the phone could do is assure us that no other Disney properties informed their guests about such drills so “they don’t either” very disappointed in how they handled this situation. We were in a panic over what we witnessed take place on their property. Worse part was management could have cared less. Will never stay at this property again. Read less

Had an awesome staycation with the family, thank you for making 2021 start off magically. Our family had a great time and will be back 🤙 My daughter loved spending time with the characters on property, last year we had to cancel our trip to Disneyland and so this was perfect way to make it up to her. My daughter and I have always wanted to go here. Unfortunately, it is usually just too expensive. The one good thing about Covid was the plane tickets were super cheap and the resort had good rates. With Hawaii's Covid testing policy, it also seemed like the safest place to travel and I wanted to go somewhere for my birthday. Aulani is absolutely gorgeous and we had a fabulous room (1479 Ewa tower--a Villa Studio). We knew ahead of time that not everything would be open or available and adjusted our expectations accordingly. We loved hanging at the beach, floating in the lazy river, going down the water slides, snorkeling, and hanging in the Ka Maka Grotto pool in the evenings. Although not all of the food locations were available, we found plenty of variety and good food. Our favorite was my birthday dinner at Makahiki. There were just enough Disney touches to make everything seem magical. There were lots of (socially distanced) character greetings, which we could see from our balcony--watching the characters goof around when nobody was there for pictures was the highlight of each day. There was live Hawaiian music and other live music, Disney gift shops, etc. Every single cast member we interacted with was extremely helpful and friendly. Safety protocols throughout the resort seemed very thorough and almost all guests followed them, which made our stay very pleasant and we felt very safe which helped us truly relax and enjoy our time at Aulani. Hopefully, someday we will be able to return. Read less

Our family of 5 stayed in a one bedroom villa. It was the perfect size- a king size bed, sofa bed and a Murphy bed. Some restaurants were open, but we were able to use the kitchen for all meals. We stopped at Costco- and the bellhops brought up our bags and our groceries! We felt COVID safe in our room and on grounds. There was lots to do for kids and adults. This side of the island is not as crowded as Waikiki. That made for a great experience. Parking was high, at $35, but no higher than other parking lots on the grounds. Micky Ears shaved ice was fun, the lagoon beach was a much more enjoyable swim than other beaches we visited because of the calm the lagoon provided. There was no lei service, I think because of COVID and we missed that, but understood. It's an easy walk to off-site restaurants and coffee. We would definitely come back. PS- none of our 5 was under 13! Read less
