We always love staying at Aulani. Although some amenities were unavailable such as aunty’s house and the rec lounge where you can change before heading home after you check out we still had a great time. It seemed less crowded and seats were available in the afternoon.

Not a high class resort at all and I have stayed in some nice resorts I usually only post reviews when I am very pleased or very displeased . And the parking price was through the roof . 42 a day . $600 my Goodness. But that is what it is . Read less

First of all, I want to make sure that people who are reading reviews for Disney Aulani and see all the "where's the Disney magic" or "not very Disney" etc etc etc. Those people fail to understand what this resort is meant to represent. They built it honoring Hawaiian culture while giving it a TOUCH of Disney. If you plan on coming here and expecting it to be a full blown Disney experience, then well, I guess you will be disappointed. Even though you shouldn't be... -The grounds are absolutely SPECTACULAR. Everything from the pools, to all the plants, to the beach area. It is top notch and hard to beat. Just walking around you see all the time and work that goes into making sure everything is well kept. It's amazing. -The service around the resort was great. We didn't have an issue with anyone. Everyone who worked there said Aloha or Mahalo to us every time we interacted or walked passed them. They made you feel welcome and were incredibly inviting. -The food was pretty solid. We ate at Off the Hook a few times and did the character breakfast. You can get a good view of the ocean from Off the Hook and the food was solid. Our kids loved the burgers. Prices of course were quite outrageous. First of all, it's Hawaii, second of all, it's Disney. So we went into this knowing the prices weren't going to be great. Again, anyone coming here should already know this. The character breakfast was obviously cool for our kids, but with the Covid rules, it's really a waste of money. My kids enjoyed it and got to take a pic with Mickey and Pluto, but of course you were socially distanced from them and the overall experience was just OK. -The weather on this side of the island seems to always be nice. It was definitely breezy during our stay, but other than that it was sunny and nice the whole 5 days we were there. My only complaint is the characters socially distancing from everyone and not getting room service every day. The resort is open, it should be fully open for anyone paying to stay here. I get some restrictions, but it seems like Aulani is using Covid as an excuse to scale back their services, all the while charging you still an arm and a leg to stay. Characters don't need to social distance like they are currently, let the kids give them a high five. Let them get more pics with them. The rest of your staff is walking around wearing masks and not having to social distance from the guests, why are the characters having to? Makes zero sense. Also, there is no need to not have room service daily. That is just dumb. Overall, our experience was fantastic and we will definitely come here again if we travel to Hawaii with our kids. Would recommend to everyone! Read less

After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous about our family vacation to Aulani. We had a great time! It was hard to pull kids out of the pools and spent more of our vacation at the resort than anticipated - but it’s beautiful so who could blame them. We found chairs by the pool/beach just fine, snorkeling was good, and characters popped up enough. The mehekuna hunt was so fun and the luau was well worth the price. We had a pool and garden view and could see the ocean. The room was worn, but clean with comfortable beds. The largest challenge was there was no room cleaning during the stay. There ridiculous as we staying in the hotel portion. They brought clean towels and amenities, but kids got sand all over the first day of seven and we had to live with it. Part of why I love going to a hotel is that there is clean sheets and towels and someone else cleans. It’s not Covid related - be honest. The other bummer that’s we were ok with due to Covid was that the kids club was closed and there weren’t the free activities for kids like hula lessons, character hugs, etc., but we expected that. The other downer was lack of places to sit down and eat. Lots of take out available to the pool or to take to your room that won’t be cleaned, but one place to sit down in shade at the bar by the pool. The one restaurant was booked up a d you couldn’t get a reservation let alone wing it. Read less

We had an incredible stay here! The resort is beautiful and the detail is unmatched. Everyone was super friendly at the pool & front desk. I asked questions about the light fixtures and they shared the design inspiration story. Stayed for a week on a mother daughter vacation- loved every minute!
