The Outrigger Waikiki is central but VERY noisy - we are not facing the beach but the main road and every night until all hours we listen to loud live music and then in the early hours of the morning we get to listen to garbage trucks! We were happy with all of the services until we got back to the room today to find it hadn’t been serviced - rang the Front Desk to be asked if we had the do not disturb sign out - No we had been on a tour all day! Then had house cleaning come and hand me some towels ... what about emptying the bins?! When we asked why the room wasn’t serviced we got the excuse - we forgot to clean your room?! What the??!! You will need to run the hot water for at least 5 minutes if you don’t want to freeze to death! The restaurants are great! Read less

From the start to finish the staff at this hotel was so friendly. To me and my wife that shows really how wonderful a hotel this was. The rooms are in excellent condition, and all of the restaurants to eat are top notch. I cant say enough good things about our visit here truly memorable.

Loved this place with it location on the baech and Kalakau Ave. One thing kept me from giving it 5 stars. The elevators. I have never seen anything like it. Loved this place with it location on the baech and Kalakau Ave. One thing kept me from giving it 5 stars. The elevators. I have never seen anything like it. I understand that in theory this must have sounded good but it is an epic failure. In scanning your key it assigns you to an elevator that will then stop on your floor. If you get an elevator other than that which you are assigned it will not stop on your floor. Here is where the problem exists. It has no idea how many people are in your party. I cannot tell you how many times there was not enough room for all the people that needed to get in their assigned elevator, while other elevators went up half empty. Kudos for trying to make things more efficient but is does not work. Read less

Great hotel with the friendliest staff! Everyone treated us like their own special guests - bell service, desk staff, cleaning staff, club and restaurant staff, and the concierge patiently helped us plan a week's worth of fun activities on Oahu. When we checked in, the clerk noticed we were celebrating our anniversary. 10 minutes later, just after we stepped into our room for the first time, a staff member knocked on the door with a complementary bottle of champagne and two glasses in an ice bucket. He wished us a happy anniversary and welcomed us to Hawaii. Our room was spacious with a great view of the ocean and beach. It wasn't an "ocean front' suite, but it was an 'ocean view' room on the east (Diamondhead) side of the building. If you want a good view without paying for the ocean front suite, ask for east side ocean view. In addition, the bed was very comfortable (you don't want 6-7 bad nights sleeping when you're on a trip this nice). I highly recommend the Voyager Club 47 level rooms. The daily breakfast and cocktail hours took any guesswork out of two meals each day and we enjoyed them with a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead, and the sounds of live entertainment at Duke's just below the club. When it comes to fun, the hotel is right on the beach - literally only 20-30 yards from the building to the water. Surfing, outrigger canoeing, and catamaran cruises are just outside of Duke's restaurant, which was great as well, along with the Hula Grill just one level above next to the Voyager 47 Club. For shopping and other nice restaurants, just step out onto the street and you are right in the middle of Honolulu's finest shopping and dining area. If you're visiting Honolulu and want a hotel on the beach, look no further. This place gets an A+! Read less
