Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach

Honolulu, Oahu

The hotel

Part of the Outrigger family, this is a premier hotel with well-equipped, spacious guest rooms ensuring a comfortable holiday base. The location is fantastic too, directly overlooking beautiful Waikiki Beach and just a stone's throw from shops, bars and restaurants. Even people who aren't staying here tend to wander into the lobby as it's filled with rare and historic Hawaiian artefacts, including a century-old koa canoe! The Hula Grill Waikiki is another local attraction, serving scrumptious breakfasts and romantic dinners beside the ocean. Duke's Canoe Club is also right on the beach and perfect for an evening meal. There is a lot to love about this hotel: the location, the beach, Hula Grill. The bell services were very helpful and they always got me to where I wanted to go. Pool service was extremely disappointing ( I went six straight days without anyone asking me if I wanted anything. On the seventh day, someone asked me and I was more than happy to order food and drinks.) Concierge service was a zero. I called numerous times and never connected with anyone. In short, great location, clean rooms, but some of the service was well below satisfactory. Read less

The hotel staff was very friendly and I loved the fact we’re in the middle and of everything. The location is perfect and the hotel is very modern. The beach can get a little crowded but once the sun goes down, the crowd will disburse. Try to stay one the side of you can, totally worth it

Will find all kinds of wedding parties taking their pictures around here! Beautiful. They also offer tours which are wonderful! We went and you must look around at all the special memorabilia! It is a historic place!

Don't kid yourself partial ocean view means most of your rooms view is of next door roof tops and if you lean over far enough you can see the ocean. To late now im here now and stuck with it. On a scale of 1-10 I rate this place a 1/2. Motel on the beach Read less

Hard to beat this location. Walking distance to most everything in waikiki. The staff was kind and helpful across the board, felt like they were happy to have us join them. The beach is small, i mean TINY. Its also very rocky. No water shoes and your feet will not have a nice experience. It is lovely and calm no doubt, but there are many wonderful beaches to enjoy that are just a 15 minute walk away so that helps. They are also under construction. That mean the lobby and grounds are all wooden walls and yucky. Not a hawaiin experience at all. But their rooms were plenty big and and looked remodeled. Read less
