Golden Nugget Las Vegas

Las Vegas, USA

The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why the Golden Nugget has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for 32 years! Accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Lillie’s for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. There's also live entertainment courtesy of the impressionist, Gordie Brown. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

I signed up for a promotional fee of $69 per night without any resort fees. When I arrived at the front desk I found out my per night fee was $79-$101 per night for my four nights. I signed up for the promotional fee through the Bar Poker Open website and link, somehow the per night fee changed and I did not catch it. Even though I'm a regular… Read more

Resort fee is $32 a day and provides free parking, boarding pass printing, wifi, gym and two bottles of water. Rooms are nice, air conditioning works great, but there is no in room coffeemaker or fridge. Elevators are slow. Is it worth the price...maybe.

Was not happy with this hotel. Read reviews about customer service and how this was great hotel. Very disappointed in our trip there. We arrived by uber at the Rush tower ( unknowingly at the time) and checked in at the desk there. It was Noon and check in is suppose to be 3. This hotel did not have room available, not even until after 3 which is checkin time. They said it was due to needing 2 beds. We made the reservation with 2 beds in April!!! Started off very poor. Then the room we were given, had the view of the air conditioning on roof! Also due to age of hotel only one outlet to charge the phones. Room was ok, bed comfortable bathtub/ shower combo very high step in and out. Showed signs of wear and tear. The only good side to this stay was the shark tank pool. That was great. We will never stay here again. Shuttle to airport was 11 per person one way. Most hotels give free shuttle. It was not worth it being so far from strip, very costly to go back and forth. The freemont light show was under construction so overall extremely unsatisfied. Do not recommend this hotel at all. This part of Vegas not family friendly at all. Read less

Took uber to hotel so entered in doors of rush tower portion of hotel. Checked in there, unknowingly that it wasnt main lobby. Room was not available bc we needed 2 beds as stated on reservation. Told we would get a text when ready. Family wandered around for 3 hours without text. Discovered the actual desk abd inquired about room since it was now officially check in time. Were told it was not ready due to 2 beds needed and also part of issue was rush tower now had the reservation. Very frustrating. Finally got the room and the view was of the roof with a.c. units. Not worth the $$$. Pool was nice, tank glass needed cleaning but could still see the fish. Overall disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel. Read less

This was an especially memorable trip as my husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary by renewing our wedding vows in the Nugget's Wedding Chapel. Silka, Wedding Services Manager, and her team were wonderful to work with. We spent Friday afternoon at the upstairs pool and the food & drinks were great! Read less
