Golden Nugget Las Vegas

Las Vegas, USA

The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why. The accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Lillie’s for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

I stayed at this hotel because it was paid for us. None of the general rooms has a coffee maker or mini-refridgerater. I needed hot water, and they charged us $5.60 for delivery fee...The room service staff didn't have enough change (of course), so I had to pay even extra for hot water. They charge $10 for a bottle opener, so be careful. The room… Read more

I have stayed in most of the strip hotels from MGM to Caesar’s but the last few years I have stayed downtown at the nugget. It is convenient to all of the golf courses, has good restaurants and you can walk to four or five casinos in no time. The majority of the Freemont casinos are clean, friendly and much cheaper to play at than the strip. If… Read more

We loved the Golden Nugget. We stayed 3 nights. The room was great. Location was good, just got Uber to the Strip. Food options were great. Starbucks located inside the building. Price was awesome!! Would recommend 😌

Pros: food is good, ate at the chart house and the entrees were good but really like the oysters. The Italian and Red was also good. Casino is the busiest on the Fremont strip, with a good vibe of people and dealers. The gym and spa was very nice and relaxing. There’s my 2 stars. Cons: Room in the Carson tower was ok, but you could hear everything on the street in through the the night. My friend stayed in the same tower but the other side and had the same experience. No wonder they provide ear plugs next to the bed. Which helped but still wasn’t a pleasant sleep experience. If you stay there ask to stay in a different tower. Spa- the gym is free but you had to pay $25 to use the hot tub, steam room and sauna. Should be free since your already paying the resort fee. Rewards program sucks!! Especially those that just play tables and are not high rollers. Even though I lost hundreds of dollars over those 3 nights I did not earn enough points for a complimentary buffet meal, nothing. MGM rewards are so much better. Huge Safety Concern - during this stay the hotel kept on having issues with their elevators. We experienced long waits for the Carson Tower and spa elevators. There was 1 elevators in the Carson Tower that was shut down for 1-2 days. We talked to a hotel guest and they said the cable broke while an elderly lady was in that elevator. My friend experienced the elevator doors opening and closing multiple time before going up/down. I visited the hotel host to discuss my rewards card and she said it’s geared more towards slot players. If your a table player you’d have to bet at least $75-100 a hand. Read less

We are currently at the hotel and had the worse experience ever in customer service. My best friend is celebrating her birthday and we choose Golden Nugget because of two things 1. We those there pool were opened and 2. It wasn't that busy in that area. When I made the reservation I called several times to confirm everything and keep getting different information everytime, however I look at there website and couple YouTube videos and the rooms look good online. When my friend arrived the room was nothing that we saw on line and also the room next door was so noisy so I requested a room change the same day! When I called for the room change they told me that I need to call in the morning regarding the room change because other rooms were available but they couldn't move us until the next day!. The next day..... January 19, 2020. I called and keep on getting hang up on( maybe it was an accident ) however the lady I spoke with was very rude. I told her I'd called the day before and they told me to call back today for the room change and also told her about the inconvenience we had last night. She said they are FULLY BOOK and no rooms is available but I can pay for an upgrade if I want to remember she said Fully BOOKED. I said why would I pay for an upgrade if you are fully booked???? She said whatever mam there is no room available unless you want me to move you to the garage!!!!!NOW WHAT TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS? I WILL NOT RECOMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE. STAY AWAY!!!!!! Read less
