Golden Nugget Las Vegas

Las Vegas, USA

The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why the Golden Nugget has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for 32 years! Accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Lillie’s for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. There's also live entertainment courtesy of the impressionist, Gordie Brown. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

I drive a Kia K900. I take very good care of my car. I had the car parked with their Valet Service only to have the vanity door pocket ripped off. I immediately made a report. Despite the fact that I am an Elite card holder they did NOTHING!!!

I love staying at this property whenever i go to Vegas. They treat you like royalty no matter who you are and they have the best tournaments. Our waitress in the high limits remembers us and our drinks and we love that. It makes the stay that much better. What I didn't like was the solicitors on-site in the hotel trying to sale you adventures. It was just an overload, It was hard to walk through the lobby or get out the door without being stopped by these people. The other thing was, housekeeping only came once during our 3-day stay, so trash piled up in our room. The pool, Fuggedaboutit.. Always packed, not enjoyable. Other than that, you will love this hotel, if you want to be on Fremont Street for the nightlife. Read less

The Golden Nugget is one of the old time casinos located in the original strip. It is a decent hotel and not very big, but it is located in the new covered street. It is very busy outside and inside the hotel. Rooms are nothing special but not that expensive.

Has a small sectional with an ottoman. The bed and pillows were comfy and the bathroom had a nice rainfall shower with dual vanities. Enjoyed the pool every day. We were able to find a couple of lounge chairs each time we went. The snacks and drinks were solid and reasonably priced for Vegas. There a few tables at the pool for blackjack and craps. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants but coffee was easy accessible at Starbucks. Nighttime noise can be an issue from Fremont street, even being on the 12th floor, but it never kept us from sleeping. Front desk people were friendly and helpful and check in and out was pretty quick and easy. Didn't gamble a whole lot but the casino looked fun with a wide variety of games and $5 tables. Sportsbook is small but I did a make a few bets there. Look forward to going back soon. Read less
