Rio Las Vegas

Las Vegas, USA

The hotel

Not all Las Vegas showstoppers are on the Strip – just look at Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where your super-sized suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s 12 restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, Vietnamese, and Indian eateries to the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. The VooDoo theme continues with the Rio’s VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub; VooDoo Zipline, which gives you 360 degree views of the Strip (if you can open your eyes as you hurtle at 33 miles an hour); and VooDoo Beach, featuring four tropical pool zones, three whirlpools, poolside spa treatments, cocktail bars, and a carnival spirit.

Will definitely be back. Hands down the best off-strip property in Vegas. The staff was very accommodating, room was outstanding. Restaurants are top-notch, gaming opportunities are plentiful. Awesome sports book as well

Stayed 5-2-19 thru 5-6-19 for 80's in the Desert... Ipanema Tower--Room #1345--view of the pool and strip...when I booked we were supposed to be in the Masquerade tower...but she put us in the Ipanema instead...she told us we would be closer to the pool and convention center...so we were o.k. with it.... Room has a fridge, hair dryer, alarm clock and safe... Room was clean...we have stayed at Rio before, so we knew what to expect... We got there I believe after 1:00 p.m...only a couple people in check-in line--had very nice check-in person, can't remember her name...had to pay an extra $20 to check in early as we wanted to unpack and make a trip to Wal-Mart... We had two free nights due to husband's rewards, but still had to pay $36.28/night resort fees for the free nights... We haven't been to Las Vegas for several years, and in my opinion, was very expensive...a bucket of 5 beers at the pool was $30.00.... The convention rates for drinks was even worse...$10 for a beer/$6 for a 10 ounce bottle of water...it was ridiculous...and we weren't allowed to bring in our own drinks to the event/concerts. We ate at Hash House A Go Go twice, and split the meal both times...food was good, and so was service... We ate at the Sportsbook area a couple of times...had pizza twice and chinese once...we also went across the street and ate at Gold Coast at TGIFridays and their buffet... Drink service on the casino floor wasn't the greatest...one night we had a great server at the Keno area....another night we were at the slot machines and no one was to be found for about 20 minutes--asked one of the bartenders and he said it was shift change so it might take 15 minutes or more to see a server...that doesn't seem right...there should be no lapse in service... We reserved a bed with loungers and cooler/safe on Sunday for our pool party at the adult pool...had a great server named Teri wait on our group....you have to spend $150 in food and drink throughout the day--and our group of 5 were able to do that no problem....since the drink prices are so expensive!! Check out was easy since we were leaving at around 6:00 a.m....turned in room keys and got receipt and then ordered Uber to the airport... Read less

Check in took a little long but was worth it. The staff was outstanding, knowledgeable and a great value. Sign up for the Total Rewards Card to get an even better value. The room was clean, the view was wonderful. It was one of the largest rooms for a hotel that i have had. I will be back.

The KISS store is pretty cool with a cool miniature golf course in it, go check it out! It is a bummer the show that used to perform above the floor on the track is gone though. Ahh the good ol days. Still had a good time drinkin gamblin and enjoying good food.
