Rio Las Vegas

Las Vegas, USA

The hotel

Not all Las Vegas showstoppers are on the Strip – just look at Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where your super-sized suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s 12 restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, Vietnamese, and Indian eateries to the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. The VooDoo theme continues with the Rio’s VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub; VooDoo Zipline, which gives you 360 degree views of the Strip (if you can open your eyes as you hurtle at 33 miles an hour); and VooDoo Beach, featuring four tropical pool zones, three whirlpools, poolside spa treatments, cocktail bars, and a carnival spirit.

The Rio has been around a long time, and it shows in the older building, called the Ipanema Tower. While the company does well to maintain it, there are tell-tale signs around, such as frayed carpet and worn and missing tiles. The casino action is okay, although for a site that houses the World Series of Poker every June, the day-to-day poker action is seriously lacking. The room rarely has more than 3 tables in action, and the daily tournaments often have just a single table. It has all of facilities and amenities one expects in a Vegas Hotel - a casino with all the expected games, lots of hotel rooms, several restaurants and a full staff. Its off-strip location is a little inconvenient. But, it is far less expensive than most of the major properties in town, and I think its daily hotel rates are the least expensive in the Caesars Entertainment array of hotels. Read less

Did not stay at the hotel because of work requirements, however we spent a great deal of time at the casino, attended a show, and ate several meals at the Rio. We enjoyed the Rio. The staff was great! Look forward to visiting again.

I love Vegas and the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino has all the accomodations. First off Security is in abundance making you feel secure and protected through out your stay, but the rooms are some of the biggest most spacious around compared to other regular average rooms .Second to none , I recommend staying at the Rio.

First off we noticed the room was nothing as it appeared in the picture on the website. Second we noticed that the room was filthy by the stains on the couch, carpet and hand prints on the head board with some weird sticky residue. The shower head was disgusting, it looked like it was covered in dry mud. The toilet had urine stains under the seat and finger prints on the handle. We addressed this with the manager on duty. But before allowing us to finish telling her that the room was filthy her first question was “was the bed made?” Followed by “you will be charged for the room if you cancel or check out!” At this point we were getting really irritated and once again after we addressed how dirty the room was she said we could cancel but still be charged $50 for a last minute cancellation. After seeing how angry my husband was she offered to switch us to the VIP tower and she said it was luxurious. We couldn’t find other acomodations so we had no choice but to stay in that room. The following room had the oldest furniture and decor that I’ve ever seen in Las Vegas. There was nothing luxurious about it. Perhaps what she referred to as luxurious was what seemed to be blood and urine stains on the comforter. The restroom was so disgusting we decided to not shower and just leave the following morning. This is the third Caesar property we stay at with terrible customer service and unhygienic rooms. This ruined our anniversary stay. Will not be booking at this hotel again. The manager could have at least found out what the problem was rather than tell us we were going to be charged right away. Really disappointed with this stay. Read less
