Bellagio

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Epically romantic, you may recognise the luxurious Bellagio as George Clooney and crew’s scene-stealing co-star from Ocean’s Eleven. But then, thanks to its world-famous dancing fountains (some of which shoot 460ft into the Vegas sky), the Bellagio has a habit of making any night along The Strip an unforgettable event. Look beyond the eight-acre Lago di Como and you’ll find head-turning elegance in a hotel that’s inspired by a picturesque Italian village. Rooms and suites are sumptuous without flashy bells and whistles, there’s a gallery of fine art with rotating exhibitions, five pools with a refreshing Mediterranean accent, a Philippe Starck-designed club and O, Cirque du Soleil’s® water-based extravaganza.

The hotel was wonderful and the fountains are mesmerizing. Every single staff member was friendly and professional. It almost seemed like they were overstaffed. Every time I turned around there was someone there to answer a question or tell me where to find something or cleaning a floor or a restroom that was already spotless. I stayed at a resort that was next door last time I went to vegas on business and there was no comparison as far as staff was concerned. Every single person I encountered at Bellagio went out of there way and at least half the time they would speak to you before you ever even ask a question. The place is enormous and almost overwhelming so the people they have on hand make it easy to navigate and it actually feels like an intimate setting. Read less

Stayed here with my fiancé for 7 nights on our first trip to Vegas from the UK via package with a tour company for a summer holiday. We did change our destination four months prior so hotel choices were limited, and have always wanted to stay here and was very happy when it was available! As previous mentioned there was a long line at check in and there is mobile check in available but I did want to query a upgrade which is why I waited, not the best after 3 hrs waiting at the airport also but the check in staff are fully aware of how busy it is and when I got to check in I was welcomed by the kindest gentleman who made me fully aware of my wait time 43 mins that he wrote down on paper and apologised profoundly. There was no upgrades available as a busy weekend but we did get a fab view of the pools and mountains on the 25th floor and two passes to the buffet for lunch included in our stay, I wish I got his name and older gentleman beginning with A - thank you for making the difference to our arrival. You have your own lifts depending which floor you are on, made complete sense and so much easier to get to and from the room. The hotel is easy to navigate once you get your bearings and it is huge with everything you need. The security will check you have your room card before heading up which was reassuring. Reception area is beautiful and when walking in I did notice a ‘musty smell’ nothing overpowering but then I realised it’s the smoking! After we visited a few other hotels this is defiantly not the worst, our floor was non smoking but could smell faintly in the hallways. Our room was lovely, the comfiest bed and pillows I’ve had - which you can buy downstairs from their shop. We already knew about the whole mini bar situation and was made fully aware on check in of the pressure pads. The bathroom was massive with a great shower and deep bath, everything was refreshed daily from towels to shaving gel, shampoo soap etc. Lots of information booklets in the room for restaurants, gaming, local shows. The automated buttons for opening curtains was a nice touch. The pool area was great, just needed to show your card and welcomed down the stairs for towels, we never had any issues with getting sun beds even with an umbrella. We first started to stay by the jacuzzi which was like a roasting bubble bath and then realised the other bigger pools are so much more cooler. The girls who come around taking orders are lovely we had a day ordering food and drink poolside which was lovely and you can charge everything hotel related to your room if you wish. We got two visits per day from house keeping they would come of a night also and left little chocolates on our pillows and a goodnight message which was really nice. The charges for the mini fridge are on the TV along with your daily charges for resort fees, we didn’t have a fountain view so did not use channel 22 for the fountain music. The armchairs in the room where so comfortable along with the dressing robes and slippers. The artwork in the room was calming and lovely, everything about this stay was comforting. The room had an ice bucket and glasses with an ice machine down the hall to keep drinks cold for when we arrived of an evening. The room air conditioning was great after the heat outside! The hotel itself is centrally located being a great base to explore everywhere, the nearest monorail is across the road @ Bally’s/Paris. There is a CVS across the road also to get room water/snacks or anything else as a supermarket. We used the gym facilities also on a couple of occasions to start the day, great size with good equipment, friendly staff and lockers to keep personal items. They also have the tastiest apples in here! What I loved so much about this hotel is that it’s not as clinical as newer ones, this felt classy and elegant compared to other hotels we visited and my partner validated this by saying I’m glad we booked here. Everyone we came into contact working at this hotel was so friendly! This hotel is still one of the icons for me, saying that I would like to return in the future and try others.. but when you stay at the Bellagio you know your in Vegas! ⛲️✨🗺 Read less

Horrible room. We paid for a room with a fountain view and we got almost no view. We will never stay there again with so many GREAT hotels in Las Vegas. I was also harassed by elevator attendants with my hands full for a room key.
