Bellagio

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Epically romantic, you may recognise the luxurious Bellagio as George Clooney and crew’s scene-stealing co-star from Ocean’s Eleven. But then, thanks to its world-famous dancing fountains (some of which shoot 460ft into the Vegas sky), the Bellagio has a habit of making any night along The Strip an unforgettable event. Look beyond the eight-acre Lago di Como and you’ll find head-turning elegance in a hotel that’s inspired by a picturesque Italian village. Rooms and suites are sumptuous without being flashy, there’s a gallery of fine art with rotating exhibitions, five pools with a refreshing Mediterranean accent, O, Cirque du Soleil’s® water-based extravaganza.

Our first room had many areas of black mold in the shower. We were moved to another room, which upon arrival had not been vacuumed and there was a dirty towel on the floor. The drapes were filthy. I would like my $70 a night upgrade fee back. I was lied to and said that I would have the newer updated renovated room with a view. I got the view but the older room. Out dated. Super dirty, I put a lysol wipe over the counter and it came out black. The bathroom door locks do not work. I tried calling down to the desk numerous times to get my room switched and no one would pick up. Went down to switch my room and the line was horrendously long. There were a host of other problems which I wrote in the MGM review but never got a response from Bellagio. I still have not received a copy of my invoice. GSA did not explain any amenities, nor was there a book explaining the wifi etc. Called numerous times prior to our stay regarding the fitness center, not one single person could name what was in the fitness. I mean, Peloton is pretty popular at least mention that. We stayed here 3 yrs ago and had a great stay, but this time around it was garbage. You can hear everything (like other peoples plumbing), elevators, doors slamming etc. $70 a night was not worth it for a view that I could easily step out side to see. i was more interested in the updated renovated room, but instead I got an out dated, disgustingly dirty room. The shower head was beyond gross, and I got red spots all over my feet from walking around the room. It was my mistake for not being slippers but my god. It is still on my foot and we don't know what it is. This happened right after I took a shower and then walked around the room. No, I didnt use the hotel's body wash - had my own. So grossed out. Also hand sanitizer stations were always empty. Good thing I brought my own. ugh. Read less

Finding the room was a bit confusing due to how big the hotel/casino is, but in general it was a good stay. We got a window view of the fountains, but you couldn't really hear the music, which is a good thing when you're trying to sleep.

The rooms were too warm. Even with the thermostat set to 65F and the fan on high, the room was warm. We visited 2 other rooms of friends, and they had the same issue. Over all, it is a very nice property.
