Bellagio

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Epically romantic, you may recognise the luxurious Bellagio as George Clooney and crew’s scene-stealing co-star from Ocean’s Eleven. But then, thanks to its world-famous dancing fountains (some of which shoot 460ft into the Vegas sky), the Bellagio has a habit of making any night along The Strip an unforgettable event. Look beyond the eight-acre Lago di Como and you’ll find head-turning elegance in a hotel that’s inspired by a picturesque Italian village. Rooms and suites are sumptuous without being flashy, there’s a gallery of fine art with rotating exhibitions, five pools with a refreshing Mediterranean accent, O, Cirque du Soleil’s® water-based extravaganza.

My only real issue (and this is a perennial Vegas problem) the place reeks of stale cigarette smoke and cannabis. Clearly you can still smoke indoors here but really? The hotels in Dubai allow smoking but have clearly sorted their ventilation to keep up. Vegas hotels need to catch up fast as it is quite unpleasant on the gaming floor. Read less

Some of the towels did not appear to have been washed properly, and there were large pen marks on our desk chair. In addition, everything was overpriced and it took forever just to get a… Read more

First class costs not much if anymore at the Bellagi. Buffet was great, sports book was friendly and restaurants were great. Julian Serrano was my favorite. The attention to detail in the food was amazing
