Delano

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

One of the newer kids on the block, The Delano brings its unique magic – a luxury boutique vibe with a playful side – from its Art Deco namesake on the sunny shores of Miami, to Las Vegas. The result is effortless style for those who like the finer things in life. The suites in this all-suite tower are the largest in Vegas, and at 43 stories high, The Delano offers some truly remarkable views over The Strip, not least from the rooftop Skyfall Lounge. Achingly cool interiors, timelessly elegant bars and a clientele to match make people-watching all part of the Delano experience. Add that to the daytime delights of a beach club, health spa, and the bonus that you are located within the equally impressive Mandalay Bay Resort complex, and you really have hit the Vegas resort jackpot.

We were in Vegas for three nights. This was definitely our best choice. We found a great deal on Booking.com and the pictures and reviews did not disappoint. EVERYONE from the people at the bell desk to the concierge and the people at the front desk were amazing to us. they were always polite and happy to help with any questions we had. We had reserved a one bedroom king suite but they only had them available in a lower level. we were upgraded to a double queen suite with a living room and two bathrooms with a view of the dessert. Like most hotels, they have so many things on premises that you almost don't even have to leave the resort. You literally just walk downstairs and through a hallway and you'll find a restaurant, the Cirque Du Soleil's Michael Jackson's show "ONE", the casino and tons of different restaurants, they also have a wedding chapel, a beach bar, Jacuzzi, pool, lazy river, etc. (I can go on and on and on). We went there on winter (not that cold) but the pools and day bars close at 5 pm when it starts getting chili. So no beach or pool parties in November. There is a tram that takes you to other resorts for free so you can explore the strip. The house of blues is right there, they had Santana in there for a couple of nights and for the looks of it they have a musical guest almost every night. Read less

With all the hussle and bussle of Vegas its great to return to a quiet and calm space to sleep. The hotel is right at the beginning of the strip next to the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Our room was clean and fresh, the decor is neutral and modern with a large tv in the sitting area and bedroom and also in the bathroom. The bath tub is really deep with more than enough room for 2 people. There is a fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Read less

The Delano is an elegant, quiet hotel accessible from the Mandalay Bay. It also has its own entrance so you can avoid the hustle and bustle, and smoke, at the Mandalay Bay. Great suites and comfortable beds.

Great, large suites, beautiful views. Comfortable bed and sofa. I suggest bringing your own Coke products because they only have Pepsi products. And K-cups for the Keurig in the room. We love the Rivea for dinner and Skyfall lounge is a great view of the Strip at night. Della’s Kitchen was good for brunch! Grits were the best!

If you take an item out of the mini bar to look at it and replace it the charge is $50!!! I was charged without any notice$84 for 6 cups of lousy in room coffee and$18 for a bottle of water. In even the lowest level hotel chains these items are complimentary. CHEAPEST HOTEL EVER!!! Read less
