MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

In a city of fabulous excess where big is always beautiful, the 5,000-room MGM Grand takes the XXL biscuit. The world’s second largest hotel features a 6.5-acre Grand Pool Complex containing four swimming pools, three whirlpools, Vegas’ longest lazy river, and waterfalls. The Wet Republic Ultra Pool holds seasonal pool parties too. And that’s just for starters, as the MGM Grand hosts huge sporting events, top shows such as Ka by Cirque du Soleil, Virtual Reality and famous performers such as David Copperfield. On top of that, Hakkasan regularly hosts DJs Calvin Harris and Tiesto. Peckish after all that? Then take your pick from a mouth-watering range of restaurants that satisfy pretty much any mood and taste you can imagine.

HRude staff, dirty hotel Upon my arrival at check in the experience was horrible, the hotel seems just too big to support guests - seems dated and tired. Elevators were always congested and at least one was usually one was out of order.

No bar fridge, no tea or coffee and charges to enter spa area and facilities. This part is a rip off! Read less

Old dirty rooms, disgusting shower, dirty carpets, very long wait and check in, slow internet, very very slow hot water. Great location and easy access to transport, monorail etc but I wouldn't stay again.

I found long wait time upon arrival. No one ever explained what you earn on play. Except for three main restaurants and buffet. Had to go off premises to get food. Peanuts found in bedding on one night when turning down sheets.
