Check in staff displayed a couldnt care attitude, not a good start. No tea or coffee facilities in the room and at £4 a cup I wouldn't entertain it. To top off our stay there is works going on and one of the pools where closed. Roof top pool area is in the shade and needs updating. Main pool sunbathing area far too small for the amount of rooms, and the available ones were vip (pay a fortune to reserve and use), impossible to get a bed! We were not even offered anything as a way of compensation for all the disruptions!! Cannot wait to get out of here. Avoid, would not recommend. Read less

I travel to Vegas periodically and have chosen to stay at the Sahara (formerly the SLS) on every trip. Why? Unless you are a high roller, most hotels have mediocre service (i have had some really bad experiences in the past) and treat guests like cattle. The Sahara is at the north end of the strip, a bit away from the center of the action, but not too far to walk or use Uber to get to everything you want to do. What I like best about this hotel is that the service is excellent, you don't have to be a big shot to get good service, especially if you stay in the Alexandria tower (formerly the W Tower or Grand Tower). The rooms are nice a bit more expensive but worth it. The staff that manage this tower led by the simply incredible Romeo Butihi are very talented delightful caring and on point with whatever needs to be done. My schedule in Vegas is always jammed so to have staff that caters to my needs is especially welcomed. The hotel has changed some of its restaurants but the Bazaar steak remains. Very expensive but as one of my guests stated creates an "exquisite" dining experience. The Northside 24/7 restaurant is always a great easy place to get good food. However, their newly installed breakfast buffet for $25 is very overpriced for what it is. A miss and needs to be revamped or eliminated. (Not only my opinion but the opinion of virtually everyone who works there) There is a lot of renovations going on right now since the brand changed but they don't honestly make the experience problematic. The main pool is a typical vegas scene most days, but there is another roof top pool outside the Alexandria tower that is quiet and better suited to those of us not wanting to be in a water nightclub. Thanks as always to GM Ryalyn Sicolo for making setting up my reservations so easy for the large group that I bring to the hotel each trip. Anxious to see how the Sahara brand for this hotel evolves on my next trip back. Read less

Loved my experience in this hotel. Loved the decor on my room. It was shown as it is like the website. Mirror; bottled water and coffee machine. Although not on the main strip but accessible via Monorail 🚝 was good although it will be good to have shuttle service in future. We didnt get to use our private pool area on our block compare to the common pool. Hopefully with the on going renovation, the hotel will become the best place to stay in that area. Definitely will come back again when I visit Vegas again. Read less

While still on the strip, the SLS (Sahara) is close to the Convention Center but not much else. Used the monorail frequently to get to the more active part of town. Also note the main pool is only open from 9:00am to 6:00pm...so much for an evening swim when temps are a bit cooler!

We are currently staying at the Sahara hotel. We checked in on Friday night at eleven pm and our room was not ready yet! Seriously. How can a room not be ready at 11pm at night?!? We were told to wait and they’d call us when it was ready. We got into the room shortly after 12pm. I’m disappointed that they couldn’t give us a room, didn’t give us… Read more

We were told to wait and they’d call us when it was ready. We got into the room shortly after 12pm. I’m disappointed that they couldn’t give us a room, didn’t give us any form of compensation and also couldn’t let us know how long it would take to get a room ready. We supposedly are upgraded but the room does not seem any better than the original room we had. The bed sinks on the right side. The WiFi is spotty at best. And keep in mind there is a resort fee that includes WiFi but why charge for something that doesn’t work all the time? Very disappointed to say the least about the quality of the hotel, lack of communication and doing very little to make up for it. Read less
