The Stratosphere was one of the cheapest hotels when booking our trip to Las Vegas in May. I was a little hesitant about staying there when reading the reviews it had on multiple sites.... Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised it was extremely nice and I even thought the casino was well maintained! Our rooms did not have a fridge which was a little surprising/disappointing as I have never stayed in a hotel without a fridge! This would have helped us save money on food and drinks! The rooms weren’t anything special but we honestly barely spent any time in the room so it did not matter much but the overall cleanliness could be improved. I would just say you get what you pay for and I was happy with the room and casino, and would even stay there again! Make sure you understand where the stratosphere is when booking a trip there too, because although it’s on the strip it’s a long walk to any of the main casinos! My boyfriend and I walked it once but opted for a bus pass instead! (The deuce stops at all the stops on the main drag, $8 for a 24 hour pass) if you plan any excursions we used Uber to get there on time because during busy times the deuce can take awhile to get to your location! There is a sketchy part (just homeless people that say thing to you) when walking to the strip from the stratosphere but there’s so many people around and lights that it really wasn’t an issue especially if you have a bus pass! I finally was able to get a new room in which the AC unit sounded like a jet taking off I waited for another 30 minutes to try and change rooms at this point I'm done and checkout of the Stratosphere they dont give a hot after they got your money. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel included a picture of the backflowed sewage in my sink Read less

I booked this room months ago right when I found out the dates for EDC and noticed this hotel always has the shuttles for the event. I’m so sad that this place was the beginning of my first Vegas adventure because it was not a great one (although the rest of my experience elsewhere in Vegas was great). It started off with wanting to upgrade to the Elite room that was advertised all over the hotel. I looked right behind the front desk concierge and asked how much is the upgrade. She said $10 a night and I thought that was a good deal since we get a fridge and coffee machine (something usually included in all hotels). Nope. The only upgrade was being “closer to the casino floor” and “newer furniture.” My friends were so baffled at the lack of upgrade so we called to go to our original room... which was bigger than the upgraded room! What??? The original room did have a small crappy bathroom, so I guess that was something. Now onto our stay. We only had our do not disturb sign once throughout the 6 nights we stayed however we only got our room cleaned twice. Two times we requested a specific time that we would be gone so they could clean and they didn’t come. We complained once again and they took off only one night of resort fee. Then the lights kept going off because of the hairdryer and made us late to our convention because we had to wait for an electrician to come and fix it. Seriously unacceptable. Once I checked out, I repeated everything and all they could say was “sorry.” I don’t care if I got a pretty good deal on this room. I was seriously shocked at the lack of hospitality and don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. You get what you pay for. Read less

The check in was easy.... and then ... ugh! We got to our room about 12:30 pm, the hallways did not look clean, dirty dishes were left at our door from previous guest or housekeeping and still there when returned from gambling late that night. The carpet appeared to have som breakfast jelly, if that’s what is was, yuck, spilled in the carpet from previous guest. The back part of the toilet where the lid is looked filthy with dirt and urine, the picture attached doesn’t give justice to how icky it was 😩. Let’s just say, we knew we booked a cheap room for the nigh, but didn’t expect this. We’ve traveled to Vegas many times and from time to time we like to try different hotels to see if they are worth keeping on our list of favs, err. This one definitely failed! Read less

We where supposed to stay for two nights but after the first night we left. Check-in was rude, room very small,air-con very loud and room still got very warm. Two drink minimum just to have a look at the roof top pool. Such a shame as it looks so good from first impressions.
