The LINQ Hotel & Casino

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

I have stayed here two times so far and I would return. It would be nice if there were some more amenities in the rooms, just the standards such as cotton balls, coffee, etc. Rooms do not have coffee machines or toiletries other than shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bar soap. The bathroom has a sliding pocket door which makes it seem not so private. The first night I had a view of the air conditioning which was extremely loud. I asked to move right away but was told there were not any other rooms available until the next day. Fortunately I was able to move to a much better room the next morning. The customer service here could definitely use some improvement. It felt like I was bothering the staff whenever I requested something. Security, especially Jasmine, was extremely wonderful, helpful, and kind. The front desk did not seem sympathetic or very accommodating have worked at the front desk of a hotel for over three years, so I know the policies and procedures, but it seemed to me that some front desk agents just wanted to do the bare minimum at least. This hotel was dirty. I did not feel like this hotel was somewhere I would stay again because our room was not clean. Our towels were wet from previous guests and glasses were dirty. Also ice machine was broken.

Awesome location on the strip. Surrounded by amenities. Above average rooms and comfy beds. I will definitely be coming back. Had some issues with the self check in booths but attendant brought me straight to the front of line to check in. Easy Check out from the TV in room. All in all great stay.

Booked their “largest “ suite through my casino host. This suite is a joke! As if when they remodeled from the Imperial Palace, they took 2 of their smallest regular rooms furthest from the elevators and put in an adjoining door. As if when they remodeled from the Imperial Palace, they took 2 of their smallest regular rooms furthest from the elevators and put in an adjoining door. Was a smoking suite, no ashtrays, and housekeeping has none. 3 light switches in the suite and all 3 operate the same light at the entrance. None operate suite lights, which are very cheap. The suite has small refrigerator just like every other room. But has coffee maker with 1 decaf and 1 regular coffee, what if there are more than one person staying in this suite? I drink more than 1 cup in the morning. 2 tiny windows, 1 in bedroom and 1 in suite. Phone didn’t work, crazy system to order room service through texts, didn’t work. Valet parking is a joke to get to. Only 4 elevators for this big hotel, so don’t plan on a quick up to the room and back! Just overall a joke! Only positive to this property is there are lots of food choices. But that’s it! Stay somewhere else. Read less

The room was a good size with a large double bed, safe, iron and ironing board, mini fridge and a hairdryer. The only thing missing was any tea and coffee making facilities. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels left. The hotel itself is big the casino area was constantly buzzing with people playing the machines, there was a gift shop numerous bars and restaurants and a pool. The hotel is in the middle of the strip which was a perfect location the area just outside had shops and places to eat all in all an excellent hotel in the perfect spot. Highly recommended Read less
