The whole experience of the venetian left me feeling disappointed. On arrival you are herded by the car valet and porters to get you off the extremely busy frontage as even more people arrive- it is a HUGE hotel. Once inside you are herded into a queue that snakes round until you get to the front desk. There were 20 people in front of us checking in. After check in we were left with a ridiculous map to find our room in the tower. You have to walk through the casino to get to the tower and the signage is poor to say the least. Our room was lovely, however unlike most US hotels that we have stayed at, there is no coffee machine or complimentary water. There is however a fridge full of drinks and snacks that have to be paid for if you use them. The hotel feels frenetic wherever you go. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing hotel this is not the place for you. There is much about the hotel that is fascinating but having experienced it, we won’t be returning. Read less

A little bit of Venice in Vegas The Palazzo welcomed us as soon as we touched the ground in Las Vegas! Our valet met us at the bottom of the stairs, scooped up our luggage and lead us to our gold limo! What a fun drive to the resort & hotel. Great location! The Palazzo & Venetian have a huge casino, tons of restaurants, lounges, and the Grand Canal shops that make you feel just like you are in Venice, including the mural ceilings, the indoor & outdoor gondolas, and one of my favorite things...an attached Walgreen’s incase you forgot anything or need to buy drinks & snacks for your room. Our suite was huge, about 1,200 square feet! It overlooked the Wynn and even had an elliptical in the room. There is no good excuse to not work out when the gym comes to you. Haha We tried so many wonderful restaurants inside of the casino 🎰 but didn’t even scratch the surface! There are so many to try, just another reason to go back! Here are the places we went to: Bouchon (French) We just love a french bistro as we honeymooned in Paris and it brings back memories. We had the pleasure of having breakfast here on our first full day. We sat in the velvet booth with the palm sipping mimosas while deciding what to eat. Our server Amanda was fantastic, her recommendations were on point and appreciated. I would fly back to Vegas just for the puff pastry escargot! Just fantastic. We also had the blueberry compote french toast and American breakfast which I would definitely recommend. We went back again the day we left because we were so impressed with this restaurant! Grimaldi’s (Italian, focus on pizza) Picture perfect atmosphere, red checkered table cloths & wine bottle chandelier’s! This pizza 🍕 was fantastic-go here you will be happy & full. The Factory Kitchen (Italian) Great pasta and fantastic cocktails, such a neat spot, Before looking at the menu we were unsure of the cuisine, the restaurant is modern Italian. There is a neon sign collage on the main wall by the entrance where you can grab drinks and take pictures! The cocktails here were fun & tasty. Such a unique find. The Dorsey (Cocktail Lounge) A very welcoming place, extremely comfortable with a huge fireplace and library lounge area. Impressive craft cocktail list and great service! This is a place you could stay at all night. Chica (Latin) We ate breakfast here, and boy was it good. The Dolche de leche french toast was off the charts! It was amazing, perfectly cooked and soft, it melted in your mouth! We also had eggs, bacon 🥓, sausage, potatoes & a sticky bun. Black Tap (American, focus on Burgers & Milkshakes) WOW! I don’t know what to say but we are still full! The burgers here were great & the crazy shakes - soooo good! I can’t wait to go back and we have only just left! We had just as much fun taking pictures with the food as we did eating it! The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with neon signs and murals all over the walls. Mott 32 (Chinese) This was Shawn & I’s first time having Dim Sum, what a perfect experience. Our server Valentino recommended some wonderful choices. We tried the hot & sour pork dumplings and crispy sugar bbq pork buns, we like them so much we got a second order of dumplings! We also tried the wagu beef lettuce cups & the prawn and pork rice. What a treat it all was. And our favorite thing was the special year of the pig rye old fashioned, yum! 🥃. Try this place you will love it even if your are new to authentic Chinese food! Electra (Cocktail Lounge) Cool spot to grab a drink. Great selection of hand crafted cocktails with an awesome booth in the back corner for some pictures. Outdoor Gondola Ride The outdoor Gondola experience was so much fun we had a nice ride around the lagoon and under two canals. Our gondolier had a beautiful voice and sang us two songs! It was a lovely time. The Palazzo took great care of us and even sent up a bottle of Veuve Cliquot & fruit for us to enjoy during the afternoon. I can’t wait to go back and we have only just left!!! My husband & I spent 2 nights here in Mid-May. We had a luxury view 1 bedroom suite in the Venezia tower. This tower is the furthest away from “the action” in the hotel. So it’s a little bit of a hike to get to your room. The room, though a little dated, was nice. The bed was comfortable & the bed room was spacious. There was an area with a couch, chairs & office desk. We also had a 5 piece bath. There was a small soaking tub & a separate shower. We overlooked the mirage & could see the volcano show at night. I picked the Venetian based on pool reviews. I was sad to learn their pool was under construction. (They did notify me ahead of time AFTER the reservation was made.) Venetian guests were directed to the pool at the neighboring Palazzo pool or the Venezia pool gardens. The Venezia pools were very, very small. The pools at the Palazzo were much better. It is definitely a hike to get there. The palazzo has a # of pools with a fair # of chairs. The hotel blocks the sun at certain hours. Plenty of food & drinks are available. The drinks are expensive - like all hotels on the strip. I loved the Moscow mules there - made with fresh ginger & crushed ice. It’s pretty easy to get lost in the hotel. It’s quite a large facility with the grand canal shoppes too. They could do a better job with signage. The gondolas are cute. I think a gondola ride here would be cheesy. The check in & out process was similar to any strip hotel. Crowded. The ceilings throughout the main entry & other common hotel spaces were beautifully painted. Felt a little similar to the Paris hotel, but with an Italian twist. We liked the hotel location. Not overly far to get to Paris & Bellagio (definitely not too close though). Close walk to Caesar’s. We learned that parking is free to anyone at the Venetian. Not just guests. That’s nice. We enjoyed our stay & would consider staying here again depending upon price. I quickly called the front desk(Nora) and they read the lock and were in disbelief the Facility Manager was the last key to enter my room, I was transferred to another room on an another floor only to come back from conference before dinner to find the exact issue un-flushed in my toilet. Security came up and read the lock looked at each other in shock but said they could'nt share with me. Front Desk Supv Mayloo apologized and offered me a late checkout UNBELIEVABLE, Mary the Front Desk Mgr said we don't play that game when I asked what would you do, and proceeded to offer me an adjustment of my $32.50 resort fee which being their on business prevented me from using any of the resorts ammenties. This was horrible, Mgrs and Supervisors were curt and not interested in making it right. They have a serious issue with their staff and oversight if they are using occupied rooms and not flushing, I felt targeted. security even took pictures ... Read less
