Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa and salon, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

My self & my husband love Las Vegas so we visit every year & have stayed in various hotels on the strip. I would say we are pretty experienced now as we having been visiting now for 15 years🕺🏻 Oct 19 we have returned to stay at the Vdara ( this being our second time) we got married in Vegas in 2014 & 5 years later we decided to renew our vows (little white chapel with Elvis ) However we noticed a change at the Vdara this year & felt a little disappointed at times. It felt at times like the personal service was lacking from the main desk staff. At check in we were asked for a credit card so the hotel could TAKE & HOLD a $400 fee so we had to do this & the staff member seemed flippant & seemed like they couldn’t be bothered with us ! During our stay we asked if we could have 2 empty champagne flutes as we had brought with us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our vow renewal, a kind security man tried to get the glasses for us from a bar but was told we had to ask housekeeping so we rang & asked & they were very nice & said certainly , we were surprised when a housekeeper brought the empty flutes to the door along with a bill for $12 !! We also had to request housekeeping to clean our room as it had not been done that day nor the previous day . All in all the VDARA is a lovely hotel but the priority felt like it was about charging money & has lost some of the personal touches. We asked for a late checkout as we had a night flight & was told we would have to wait until the very very last minute (the morning of our departure) as they would try to fill the room first, we did manage to get late check out & was charged half the daily rate we paid $90 On check out we again were shocked to see the reset fees ( often people don’t know about these) they are a daily rate for pool use etc the fees had increased massively a year ago they were around $30 now they charged us $51 & to top the lot they had taken the money from my credit card !! Which they told me was the HOLDING fee I didn’t give permission for them to take it from my credit card ! They did return it to my card on my request ( I hope so anyway as I havnt checked yet as I’m still in the airport) I paid cash but they never asked my preference ? SO the Vdara... nice hotel with no casino so it’s a nice escape from noisy machines BUT Vdara your loosing the personal touch which I’m sure all guests appreciate Read less

The room was modern and very clean. The hotel is fairly new and had a nice style to it. We were never disturbed by drunken people in the hallway at night during the stay, which is another plus and generally it felt like a more mature crowd at the hotel. The pool was nice and we had no problem finding a seat. Most of all, I liked how the rideshare station was right out the front door. I noticed at other hotels that is not the case. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and we will stay there again on our next visit, assuming we are able to secure a similar price. Read less

I'm not sure why my company let us stay here but I was a happy camper. It's not directly on the strip but within walking distance. The room and staff were wonderful.
