Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

We had a beautiful view of the Bellagio fountains and other parts of the strip. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, but I assume that is because of COVID. They have a Starbucks near the lobby, but was only open on the weekend. Which, again, I’m sure was because of COVID. They also have a little cafe that is open everyday. They had hand sanitizing and face mask stations, so I felt safe while staying here. Over all it was great, and I would recommend this hotel to others. Read less

My husband and I got married in Las Vegas 25 years ago in April. We were married at a hotel that is now demolished and there is only an empty lot. We wanted to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in April but all the hotels were closed. So on our way back home on a month and a half trip cross country, we decided to spend a night in Vegas, fulfilling our anniversary wishes. We had to decide where to stay and after reading this hotel was non-smoking, we decided to go with it in addition to the Penthouse being offered at a price we thought was reasonable (which was a huge splurge for us). When we got to the room, we were disappointed to see its cleanliness. The carpets were at the point of needing a steam cleaning. We spoke to a manager and he made this inconvenience for us right. Our new room turned out to be amazing and the best experience ever at ANY hotel we have ever stayed at. We didn't want to leave the next day!! Next time we are in Vegas (hopefully 25 more years won't pass) we will stay here again, in a Penthouse, 54th floor!! This hotel is not directly on the Strip but is in convenient walking distance to a lot of the popular hotels in the area. Thank you for a great time!! Read less

The reception desk handled us quickly and efficiently, no issues with my reservation. I had a day bed reserved for the following morning and had no problems with the pool staff. The service at the pool was top notch.... It does give you the sense you are staying at the largest "Homewood Suites" ever, tho... A small lobby bar, a Starbucks and a Mini-Mart style eatery in the lobby and that's about it. Anything else you need to troop over to Aria or Bellagio. I would agree with the other reviewers that the hotel is short staffed - Most of the pool folks were from Aria and a single front desk person. That being said - they were great, just not too many of them. Finally, unless you are in great shape the range for walking about is kinda limited - This pace is in the very rear of City Center, and while one could argue that it takes a long walk to get anywhere in Vegas, This is a pretty good haul to anywhere past City Center or Bellagio. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms with two-person tub, and walk-in shower, washer/dryer, full-kitchen with a massive refrigerator, almost all Bosch appliances, motorized curtains, shower robes, and flip-flops! Unmatched views of the Bellagio fountains, and Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower. In these coronavirus times, they have the temperature checks at the door, free masks/sanitizer stations, and every room is given cloth masks with Vdara logo, bottle of sanitizer, and a MGM resort door opener. The only downsides are minor. The Keurig machine only had de-caf pods (who drinks that swill?!) , neither the tubs were a jacuzzi-style, and then the views/windows were so expansive (like over 200 degree view!) that the motorized blackout curtains had very small gaps at the edge. The only real negative is their pool is only open Friday and Saturday; Sunday through Thursday you have to use Aria's - who wants to be outside for any second than they have to be in Vegas summer heat? But at least it is a non-smoking (they also pump some pleasant scent into the lobby), and non-gambling hotel , thus there is a very, very short distance to walk in the outside. We were out of our car, thru the lobby, and into our room in a few minutes. Again unmatched of any Strip hotel. Read less
