Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa and salon, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

The hotel is walking or monorail distance to the Las Vegas strip. I liked the idea that there wasn't any gambling in the hotel. The Aria right next door accomodated that if you want to gamble. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is of high quality and amenities. The fountain and strip views (on the 35th floor) however were commpromised severely by the fact that I could see hotel guests in the room directly to our left which was a problem especially at nighttime.

Great hotel with a huge room. The pool was nice and liked the variety of restaurants nearby. Only had two issues - the first one being the prices of drinks by the pool were absurd and the second issue is all the windows were filthy so our view from our hotel room was instructed by dirt - you’d expect more with what you pay for this hotel ( we… Read more

Hotel is well located with Cosmo, Aria and Bellagio on your doorstep with lovely restaurants. Beautifully presented modern style hotel. Staff good, perhaps a little robotic at times. Pool relatively quiet which is what we prefer, beds all in one long line so no privacy. Cabanas and day beds all extras. A few things would be improvements. Bathrobes in the room - at this grade of hotel this should be automatic. Weirdly all light switches and switches to raise and lower blinds are not by the bed. Fridge helpful but shop in lobby expensive - shop in Walgreens for any supplies and drinks - everyone seems to do this in Vegas! Asked for kettle and given a pan for the hob. No tea or coffee in room, there's a Starbucks in lobby. Read less

I really like this place - I've stayed at Vdara multiple times and enjoy its central location on the strip along with its close proximity to the tram and several other casinos. I also like that it is a non smoking hotel and there is no casino there. After being in loud smoky casinos all day it's nice to get away from that when it is time to call it a day. The place is always clean, staff pleasant, rooms are nice. That said, it's still a Vegas MGM resort so prepare yourself for mediocre customer service, $40 resort fees, and watered down rewards programs. They just have a way of making you feel like a number rather than a customer - not that most other places on the strip are much better (majority being MGM resorts anyways). Read less
