We love the free circus acts! So fun to watch. I remember playing games and watching the circus acts when I was a child in the 1970's AND they're still offering these things. Of course, when I was kid, I had an arm full of stuffed animals as they were much easier to win back then. But it's still fun! Note: I've never stayed in the rooms.

TL:DR This place is a dirt hole, not worth a dollar a night. Spend 20 dollars more to stay at the Rio, getting a better experience all around. TL:DR This place is a dirt hole, not worth a dollar a night. Spend 20 dollars more to stay at the Rio, getting a better experience all around. I get it, you want to drop off your kids and gamble or see a circus act. Go to another hotel, and taxi over to Circus Circus. Do not let your friends or family stay here. Possibly the worst hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. Booked a non-smoking room. When we finally navigated the congestion of people at the 2 out of 4 elevators that worked, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes and cheap air freshener. It also had plumbing issues (the shower leaked and the mold on the seams indicated a deeper problem), the wallpaper was peeling, the list keeps going. Once we were able to get another room, the issues were still worse than a cheap roadside motel. The floor had holes in it, the curtains were ripped, and the wallpaper was peeling in this one as well. The kicker to this new room is that the toilet ran continuously. The next day when we were bringing these issues up to management and to cancel the remainder of our stay, the elevator (remember, only 2 were working at this time) broke down before we got to the ground floor. Stuck in the elevator for about 5 min before it decided to go up to the 29th floor. At that point we decided to not risk the elevator again, and would rather walk 29 flights of stairs to the ground floor. This was also a mistake as the stairwell was steadily trashed filled and stained with mysteries the closer we got to the ground. We finally got to talk to management, who was "unaware of the elevators being out" (which is impossible, as the crowds pushed into the lobby and they assigned a security guard to keep the peace) and that "we are understaffed at the moment" (in regards to the toilet). They told us that they would refund us a day, so that we would only pay for the one night, and not for that night ( it was about midnight at this point). Both of these statements were outright lies. They charged us two days, and when we complained essentially told us too bad. Side note: The buffet was comically bad and comically overpriced. 60 dollars for inedible food and forks that were bent to a degree not thought possible. The fresh cut roast beef was so dry as to drain the moisture out of you. We couldn't stop laughing, plate after plate of inedible food. We tasted nearly every dish. Nothing was edible, to the point of spitting it into napkins. Read less

We visited The Steakhouse at Circus Circus on Sept. 7, 2021 (Labor Day) for a 50th birthday celebration for four life long friends. We were a party of 10, five couples visiting from Rhode Island. We chose this fine steakhouse as our dinner for our final night. Some of us had been many times and some were there for their first time. I can say I, for one, was not disappointed. I have been here at least a dozen times and have never had a bad meal. While Circus Circus is a below average hotel, the steakhouse has kept its class and quality ever since the Sinatra days. The hotel may have fallen on hard times but the steakhouse hasn't missed a beat. It's a hunting lodge setting with rich leathers and the wonderful smell of mesquite from the mid-restaurant grill open to view. The dim lighting adds to the ambiance as do the well trained staff. We all loved the service and the food which did not disappoint. One thing, above many, that I love about this old school gem is that the price of a dinner, while not cheap, includes fresh baked breads, your choice of a hearty garden salad or black bean soup, your entre along with potato and vegetable. Unlike most a la carte restaurants, you get the entire meal here for one price. On top of this, your host Ron is an absolute class act who gives old school service, sending several desserts to our table to celebrate our 50th birthdays. He took care of us from soup to nuts, as I'm sure they did to the Rat Pack 50 years ago. All in all it was a marvelous night and a great way to close out our epic trip. I can't say enough about this classic gem and can't wait to return on our next trio to Vegas. Read less

There’s also no breakfast buffet, just grossly overpriced bagels & Krispy Kreme. I was so excited to leave, only to discover our van was ripped off while in the “secure,” lit, hotel lot which we were told to use. I just spent 2K getting the stolen catalytic converter & sensors replaced & missed a family dinner/holiday time while waiting for the parts/repairs. Do yourself a favor & avoid this place. Read less

There was no coffee or anything in the room. We were told it was a newly renovated room but it needs renovating. I would hate to see the rooms that haven’t been renovated. The safe was left locked from the previous guest. I called the front desk and it rang forever and nobody ever answered my call so I didn’t get to use my safe.
