Delano

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

One of the newer kids on the block, The Delano brings its unique magic – a luxury boutique vibe with a playful side – from its Art Deco namesake on the sunny shores of Miami, to Las Vegas. The result is effortless style for those who like the finer things in life. The suites in this all-suite tower are the largest in Vegas, and at 43 stories high, The Delano offers some truly remarkable views over The Strip, not least from the rooftop Skyfall Lounge. Achingly cool interiors, timelessly elegant bars and a clientele to match make people-watching all part of the Delano experience. Add that to the daytime delights of a beach club, health spa, and the bonus that you are located within the equally impressive Mandalay Bay Resort complex, and you really have hit the Vegas resort jackpot.

I had some issues with my room that took almost two day to fix, but aside from that, the hotel is nice. No Smokey air here and the rooms are clean. I know my situation was isolated. Don’t hesitate to book here.

The room assigned to us was not ready because the guest before us was still in the room. We were suggested to wonder around till it gets ready. it was 6 pm already, and I DID NOT want to wait outside of the hotel. I asked the clerk about other room availability, and I ended up staying the room that affected by renovation - water shut down for one night. Once we got in the room, I figured the TV in the living room and washroom were not working. I notified this at the front desk, and talked to manager for my whole unpleasant experiences. He said he can take off the resort fee for our 3 nights. He also called a tech to fix the tv, so living room tv has fixed but not the one in the bathroom. I found the dining credit $25 per person tickets that tech left, but somehow I felt it was not sufficient. I am very disappointed about the water shutdown night. I thought Delano was upscale 5 star hotel, but I guess I was wrong. Do not stay here. Wellstay is not wellstay Read less

When checked in, room did not have shampoo, soap, coffee or toilet paper. Hotel fixed problem quickly. Worst was that overnight the HVAC room created a terrible noise that woke me and husband up at 4:00 am. After three calls to reception, speaking to maintenance and another talk with housekeeping, matter was fixed a full business day afterwards - 36 hrs! I get that it was the weekend, but nobody offered for a room change until it was 7pm Saturday night and we had to leave for an event. Read less
