The room we got was very average. Basic and decorated with cheap hotel furniture. It was a little run down here and there (I don't want to know what previous guests did to the headboard, but it was not pretty). We had no hot water one morning, which I thought was weird. It was a little run down here and there (I don't want to know what previous guests did to the headboard, but it was not pretty). We had no hot water one morning, which I thought was weird. That's a first for me. I didn't realize hotels could run out.. This was 8 AM on a Monday and we had an appointment in the morning. So... cold showers for us. I don't think there were a lot of guests in our tower either, due to COVID and all. Valet parking is a hassle. It was free (except for the tip), but you have to wait. We waited 30 minutes for the valet when we were checking in.. And it would be a 10-15 minute wait every time we wanted the car, so we ended up planning around that and not using the car much. Next time I'll park it myself in the MGM garage. Except there won't be a next time, as I will give this place a miss. Note that our room did not have a balcony, despite paying for a premium room. And the windows don't open, a big drawback in these times. We had a nice view though. Read less

Unfortunately for me I left Brand New Lanza Shampoo/Conditioner and toner I paid $187 for those three items I checked out and I called so I could retrieve these items the same day, they stated they throw everything away. I’m disappointed that they were of no help, had poor customer service I will never return there.

I would recommend staying at The Signature instead of the MGM. I never smelled marijuana in my unit at The Signature, (granted, I did smell pot here and there, randomly, thought my week-long stay.) It was definitely less crowded at the Signature if you are concerned about Covid, however, you will be walking farther to the casino. Also, if you book through a third party, you don't have to pay resort fees. It's cheaper than a basic room at the MGM hotel. I never saw another soul on my floor. Also of note at The Signature, out of the three towers, you will valet park at tower 2 and tower 2 is the only pool open. Food Service is not available as of yet. Pools: All hot tubs are closed, everyday. During the week, 3 pools are always open at the MGM pool complex. On Thursday, the forth pool opened. Wet Republic is not open, The Lazy River is only open Friday-Sunday. Needless to say, the entire pool complex was packed on the weekends. Around 2:00, they reached capacity on Saturday and there was a line to get in, as people were leaving. Again, it was packed on the weekends and there is no limit to entering the river. It's bumper to bumper. I also felt like the pools were not as warm as they typically are. During the week, I was happy with the pool capacity and service. Casino at the MGM: Most tables are shut down. Slots are open, about every other one. Restaurants: I'd say about half were open. I'd recommend calling ahead and making reservations. Don't rely on the internet for ANY information on any restaurants, venues, pool cabanas, etc.. You will be disappointed. Social distancing/masks: No one social distanced. About a quarter of guests wear masks. People never followed elevator rules, and just jumped in like normal. That said, this only happened a couple times as the Signature was relatively empty. Employees are all wearing masks. Security/safety: I didn't feel as safe as I normally do in Vegas, I ventured off on the strip one time, and that was it. I noticed all the casinos I visited had extra security, but still it wasn't enough. I saw a fight at the Venetian. Many locals are out of work and desperate. They come into the casinos after dark. Be careful. Be aware of your surroundings. I had a $100 ticket voucher snatched right out of my hand. I reported it, but nothing happened. The police wouldn't come to take a report because they are overwhelmed right now. Hotel security informed me that criminals are very brazen right now. I got the lecture from security and felt victim-shamed. Oh well. Lesson learned, I guess. Taxi's/Uber/Lyft: They are available but you will wait longer, especially for a party of 4 or more. They are also more expensive, but for. good reason. Overall, I really love visiting Vegas in the summer because I love the pools. I love splurging on the nice restaurants.... But I also love going to the shows and feeling safe. I don't think I will return until perhaps next summer, when (hopefully) things are back to "the new normal". If I do, I'll spend more money and stay at a 5-star resort. The Wynn was really nice and they seem to have more security/safety precautions in place to battle Covid and criminals. Despite everything, I had a somewhat pleasant week. If you're itching to get out of the house and on a budget, I feel like The Signature was a nice place to stay, and reasonably safe from the virus and crime. Also worth noting, things are changing rapidly and all venue's are subject to change as far as opening times, etc.. The staff could tell you one thing the day before you check in and when you get there, it could be a different story, Don't blame the staff. They are working hard and honestly, I don't think they know much more than we do. Read less

I love staying here. From the valet car service to check in, they make you feel regal. The room is a nice size, bigger than most. The jetted tub is huge and views from the balcony are nice. One of few that have a actual balcony you can use. Perfect location. Not right on the strip but behind it so it's not hard to get in and out.
