All I wanted to do was get to to sleep early because I had a 5:30am start in the morning. Instead on arrival, they told me my room wasn't ready. (This was around 8:45pm, so it's not like I was asking for early check in.) I had to wait over an hour to get a room. The room was too hot to sleep, the HVAC unit was inoperable, and the windows don't open. So, I asked for another room, but they said they didn't have one. (It was CES, a very large convention. My guess it that they overbooked and by the end of the day they were giving out the broken rooms.) I was repeatedly told maintenance would come; first in 15 minutes, then after 20 minutes, it would be another 10, then after another 15 minutes, immediately, but they never showed. (They said the maintenance person was having trouble fixing the cooling in another room.) Could they put me up at another hotel? I found a room for 1 night at another Marriott property, the Springhill Suites. The manager looked into it. Yes, it was available, but they wouldn't comp the $100 difference ($500 for the night vs. the already crazy CES price of $400 at the Westin), even though it was now 11:30pm and I would have to schlepp myself across town. Finally, they gave me a new room that was good. (Otherwise, this would be a 1-star review.) Of course, they didn't even give me the $25 bar/restaurant credit they had promised, until after I complained again. And I'm a Marriott gold member. I can only imagine how they'd treat someone who isn't a frequent guest. BonVoy-age? Not so much. Read less

It was our 1st time traveling with our German Shepherd and they made it easy. They had a great green space for her, a watering station and treats. The room was great, beds were very comfortable and it is a great location if you love the strip!

We visited Vegas for the New Year and checked in at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. We are gold elite members so we got unlimited water bottles. We celebrated the New Year at the resort and it was awesome. Not like New York but awesome nevertheless.
