I realize this is not the hotels fault however you might want to be aware of construction going on if you’re thinking about staying on the strip side and the Paradise Tower. It’s also worth noting that we were on the 22nd floor in the paradise tower. Read less

Car park was easy to find and on site, with parking included in the booking. Our room was a spacious twin, and bathroom was spotless. I would have liked a kettle / tea & coffee in the room, but maybe that’s not standard in the US (usually is in UK!). The casino itself was a bit smokey when you come in, but they all are, and the rooms are far away through the complex so it’s not an issue. The pool area wasn’t open as it was off-season, but it looked great. Overall, for our first trip was a good place to stay. Read less

We spent 5 nights in the hotel. It seems to be a run down place. I had problems with the room safe and withe the door lock. The safe issue was resolved quickly as it was a week day. This hotel is a complete trash box. Not only is it a trash box, the advertisement for the room that I received was not what I paid for. I spoke with Juan Alverez one of the managers at the hotel when checking out and sent an email about my concerns with the hotel and I still haven't received a response. I was recently a guest at the Tropicana on May 30th – June 1st, 2019. I was really looking forward to spending my time at the hotel for my birthday weekend, however things did not go according to plan at all. There was so many issues with my stay at the Tropicana, that not only was I not satisfied with my booking, I also had several issues with the room that was provided to me. My first issues, I reserved a room with a Jacuzzi tub, prior to me reserving the room I called the hotel to confirm that I would have a Jacuzzi in my room…per the customer service rep that I spoke with on the phone everything was going to be ready. I was told that I would be in the Spa Suite. However the room that was provided was basic a King room, with no Jacuzzi tub, no wet bar, or any of things that was advertised in my booking. It did however have a damp stuffy feel, and an air conditioner that barely worked. When I went down to guest services, they stated that I would have to pay an additional hundred dollars per night to book the Spa Suite. I showed guest services my confirmation receipt stating that my room was to have everything that was listed, they then told me nothing could be changed at this time. And that they were not sure how that was possible, even after looking at my confirmation email. Not only was I not satisfied, I couldn’t believe how the issue was handled so dismissively. I specifically wanted to book at the Tropicana for the suite to enjoy my birthday weekend. Once I finally got into the room that was giving to me, the air condition did not work. I called down twice to guest service, on my second call later in the day they finally sent someone up. The room was still stuffy and sticky the entire time of my stay. May 31st, my room was never cleaned. I made sure not to have the Do Not Disturb notice on the door, however the room was never cleaned. I called housekeeping in the afternoon once I realized my room still had not been cleaned. They stated that they would send someone up to clean immediately. I left out for dinner and returned to my room and it still was not cleaned. Again overly frustrated with lack of customer service, I had to call again for them to bring fresh towels. My birthday plans were practically ruined, as I was unable to host a cocktail session in my room with my friends. This by far was my worst experience of traveling to Vegas. I have stayed at the Luxor, Cosmo, Venetian, Caesars, MGM, and the Wynn…and I have never experience such horrible customer service from any of the other hotels on the Strip. Not only that I feel that if this were to happen at any other hotel on the strip, they would have accommodated me, once they realized it was error in booking on the hotels side. This however did not happen at the Tropicana aka Trash Box. When I did ask to speak to a manager, I was told that they were unavailable to assist me at the time, again a very unprofessional customer service experience. If you're thinking about staying at the Tropicana, you're better off sleeping on the streets. Read less
