We always love staying at the Hyatt Regency Orange County!! We have been coming here for 5 years and have never been disappointed. The beautiful drive up to the hotel with all of tropical pants and fountain never gets old. The staff is amazing, especially the breakfast staff. We love seeing the same staff over the last 5 years. The breakfast is amazing and a good variety to choose from. The Hyatt beds are very comfortable. We prefer the suites with the couches to have more room to spread out. The two pools are amazing as well, we have fun playing all the games they have on the 3rd floor where the pool is. And my daughter loved doing the s’mores. Read less

The hotel is so beautiful, it’s kids friendly. They have two pools. And a nice little game section and a place where you and the kids can s’mores. My kids loved the hotel. Everything was nice including the staff

I want to preface by saying that I don't think I have ever written such a negative review before and hopefully it will not fall upon deaf ears. At this property, the staff is unfortunately non-attentive and rude. As a Globalist member, I had requested a rollaway bed prior to check-in (via app and on phone) because I knew that I would be checking in late. Several hours before, I even called and had the person at the front desk pick up the phone and hang up on me several times because she was clueless...When I finally did get through again an hour later, I was told it had been taken care of by a Manager - but of course it hadn't. I had to wait until midnight to get my kid into bed because it took them two hours to get it resolved after I arrived. The Executive King Suite was clean, but that's about it. Not even a pad of paper, water bottle or pen in the room. I reserved this premium level suite thinking that there would be some distinct advantage to doing so, now I regret it and wish I could get my money back. There are zero amenities at this hotel in general, including housekeeping, and none of them are available to you with a phone call. You literally have to walk up to the source and look them in the eye if you want to get an honest answer versus the usual runaround. This property really is not consistent with the caliber of Hyatt Brand I've been accustomed to across the globe – and they have a lot of work to do to bring themselves back up to satisfactory levels*. The property looks great from the outside, but it really ends there. The service and staff unfortunately do not support the facade. Honestly, the best part of the stay was the valet service, they were consistently polite and prompt and for this I give them an extra star. *As a point of reference, I stayed at 3 other Hyatt Properties right before this one in different cities (including in Cali) and they have done a great job with re-openings, etc...so that cannot be used as an excuse to provide sub-par service any longer. One of the best Hotel's I have had the pleasure to stay at near Disneyland! Great rooms, location, customer service. Kids loved the S'Mores! Fun times. Very clean. The resturant and Starbucks on the lobby floor were an added treat.

I stayed here with my husband and teen daughter for a Disneyland trip. Disneyland wasn't as close to the hotel as I would have liked but it was only about 6 mins away and the hotel did provide shuttle service for a fee. We stayed in a renovated room which was nice. I had requested early check in and no feather pillows and both needs were met. The room was clean but the restroom I felt could have been cleaner. It was also very small. We did have plenty of toilet paper and towels so it was fine. I also requested toothpaste and that arrived quickly. I also had the convenience of doing everything on the app which is a big plus for me. The hotel is nice, it has a gift shop, 2 restaurants, a small Starbucks, a small ice cream shop and a deli store that was closed when we went. We went to the OC Brewhouse in the hotel for dinner and the food was amazing!!! Better than I had expected. The cocktails were really good and we ordered every appetizer and my daughter ordered the burger and we were completely satisfied. They have 2 pools. We went to the one on the 3rd floor and it was spacious. They had plenty of seating and a recreation area that had tennis, ping pong, basketball etc. We spent the afternoon here and had fun although it was really dirty. It didn't appear that anyone had been out there to clean. Also we went at night before closing and there wasn't enough lights in the rec area. So I saw people trying to play tennis with the flashlight from their phones. I was able to check out on my phone, which again was a big plus for me. Overall we had a great time there and I could see myself going back. Read less
