Small room. Facility is getting a bit long in the tooth. Easy parking. Good location. Friendly and helpful front de ask staff. 200 words is a bit too much to ask for in these reviews! Good grief, Sherlock!

The hotel is around an hour transfer from LAX. We stayed here at the end of February which is just before the season really kicks off. Most of the surrounding attractions were open except the water park opposite. The hotel was well priced at this time, saving around 65% compared to peak season price. The outside of the hotel was clean and tidy and the grounds were well maintained. The lobby was a large open space which was clean with manual check-in but that was OK as staff were polite, helpful in pointing out local attractions and amenities. We had a standard double queen room, bland and basic in setup, dated dark furniture and one of my pet hates which is a carpeted skirting board, it could do with sprucing up. Based on the 7th floor with a side view of a car park but as we were only using the hotel as a place to lay our heads we weren’t that bothered. The beds were OK, cheap well washed linen but clean, same with the towels. Room has the usual TV, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and safe all worked as they should. Room & maid service available, no compliant with either, towels and sheets changed upon request. Only negatives were the $4 for a 500ml bottle of water but easily overcome by stocking up by going to Walgreens over the road. Also the food in the onsite restaurant ‘Amberwave’ wasn’t that great but there are plenty of local eateries. Disneyland is around 15 drive away and the the hotel offer a free shuttle which we used a few times without fault. Read less

The location is good, and the room was clean. Chose this hotel because of its proximity to the park. We figured we would spend most of the time outside anyway. But we did not sleep well at this hotel. An average hotel (three-star review) to me is a place where we can rest, but we did not even get that at this property. Our room had poor noise insulation. We could hear our neighbor checking in at midnight, waking up at 6:30AM to go to Disney, snoring (seriously), talking on the phone, etc. We could also hear our neighbor across the hall getting a delivery to their room at 10PM. The neighbors were not particularly loud, it was just that the walls are thin at this old hotel. We did not take the upgrades suggested to us when we checked in: oversized room ($60 extra) or non-connecting room ($20 -- yup, you have to pay extra for a room with full walls). Perhaps an oversized room or a non-connecting room would have been quieter?! But, isn't a hotel room supposed to minimally provide a space for some quiet rest?! Besides the noise issue, the room was dated. The windows, furniture, beds, carpet, were tired and worn, but at least they looked clean to me. There is no tower holder in the sink area to hang the hand towels. There is also not a full length mirror in the room. Fridge is $20 per night. Parking is $10 per night for bookings made from third-party websites. The check-in experience was unpleasant. The lady did not seem welcoming nor helpful, but she did a good job suggesting all the "upgrades" available to me ($$). We already paid Hampton Inn price for Motel 6 quality. Their approach and attitude really just rubbed me up the wrong way. The housekeeping staff, the pool/gym cleaner, the gift shop employees, and Ellery at the front desk when we checked out were all helpful and friendly. I hope they get recognized for their excellent customer service. Read less
