My daughter and I arrived after a long trip from Scotland and were happy to be greeted by the lovely boys who help with the luggage and Chris who checked us in . Chris was very attentive and checked us into room 1440 which is a corner room with an amazing view of the city and to the left the Griffith observatory and the Hollywood sign . Spend many an hour admiring the amazing view especially at 4am when we were up before everyone else ! Chris also added the special touch of sending a birthday card and cheese cake to the room as it’s daughters 21st . The hotel is very safe and all public areas are only accessible with a room key . Perfect accommodation, don’t go to any of The cheap hotels on the strip this is far superior Read less

I recently stayed for a conference, and given the size of the hotel, wasn't expecting great service. But the Loews really delivered in that department, with very prompt room service and quick help when I accidentally locked my myself out. The food was good, whether from room service or Preston's or even their takeout place Bodega. But since the hotel is next to the Highland Mall, there are plenty of eating options. The rooms are spacious and if you get an upper floor, you can get spectacular views of Hollywood, including the iconic "Hollywood" sign. One quibble is that the elevators are slow, probably because you must enter a room key to use them. This made for some long wait times during the conference. Read less

ARRIVAL The hotel it’s self is amazing! Very modern, chic and clean! Our check in was quick and easy and we were given details about the facility’s and things we needed to know. ROOM Our room was 1637 which is on the 16th floor and our room looked out on to LA. We could see the ‘HOLLYWOOD’ sign from our room. The windows went right from the top to bottom which meant we could sit and look out into the city! The room it’s self was huge and again very clean and modern. Lots of USB ports for charging our phones so no need to bring lots of travel plugs. (Did bring one for the other electric’s we brought with us) the bath room again is a good size and had only shower but it was fine for us. Good lighting in the bath room and plenty of towels. POOL We had 1 day by the pool and it was brill! Just what we needed after a few hectic days sight seeing! The pool it’s self is on level 5 in the hotel and is on a platform/roof so isn’t mega high up (hotel has 20 floors) but isn’t on a ground floor either. The view from the pool is amazing!! The hotel provide towels so no need to pack one, there’s a ‘help your self’ towel shelf right by the pool. There’s a bar up at the pool which serves drinks and food all day so no need to leave the area! There’s also toilets and free water for you to help your self to throughout the day. The pool it’s self was spotless and a lovely temp! There’s plenty of sun loungers and chairs around the pool aswell. We really enjoyed our chill day up there! NEAR BY You right in the heart of HOLLYWOOD at this hotel. Walk straight out of the hotel and your on the walk of fame! Next to the hotel is a Sephora, Victoria secrets, subway, Walgreens etc etc. McDonald’s is just across the street to the left! So lots of places to grab quick food! TRAVELING AROUND Uber is deffo the best way to travel! It cost us $58 in a Uber from LAX and took about 1hr to get to the hotel (we traveled at peak time about 2pm so traffic was built up a bit ). We used Uber for every one of our trips / journeys. It was so easy and convenient to use and the drivers gave us some really good tips on places to go and eat! PLACES WE VISITED We got the ‘GO LA’ travel card for 3 days (purchased before we came on Expedia) so we managed to fit everything in and go every where! The 3 day card includes entry to universal studios. Deffo worth the money!! We would highly recommend visiting: Warner bros studios Universal studios Hollywood museum Hollywood sign hiking trail Celebrity house tours both the Hollywood one & Malibu one Beverly Hills Rodeo drive Sprinkles cupcakes (the cupcake ATM from insta) Overall we loved our stay at the hotel and would 100% return! We would recommend it to everyone who is planning a trip to Hollywood! Thank you Loews for an amazing holiday! Read less

I really enjoyed my stay. I ended up getting upgraded to a Suite and had a breath taking view of the Hollywood hills. Everyone was extremely happy to help and assist me with what I needed during my stay.
