First time to LA. Hotel was conveniently located one block from Hollywood Blvd and the walk of fame, Mann's Chinese Theater. Do not self park. Allow the valet to handle it. Parking garage is not owned by the hotel. Staff was awesome! Very professional and knowledgeable. Room I had was on a high floor with a nice view of the city. Very clean. Very… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great hotel but party people stay there. For executives not good

It is a great hotel, good location but at the same time is one problem, there are many people in party time during night, people lauding on ails and in rooms. I reported but still noisy all night long.

I stayed here with two of my other companions for a one night stay. The parking wasn’t confusing at all. There’s on sight parking which is 18$ per day and around 3-9 dollars per couple of hours but if you leave then you have to repay again. When I arrived the front desk agent was very friendly and informative on my stay which I already previously payed for online and also took a 125$ deposit just in case any mishaps happened during my stay. This hotel is right next to the stores in hollywood and I also happened to get a great view from one of the top floors which showed the city of LA. Upon entering my hotel, I noticed there was a drink stain on the nightstand lamp and no bulb on the desk lamp. The single handheld mirror in one of the bathrooms was supposed to have a light around the rim but it wasn’t working as well when I plugged it in and turned the switch on. The tv is a little outdated but eh, who really stays at a hotel to watch some movies. If you want a fridge you can also request one if they have any available. Staff was very friendly and helpful, very nice people and I also thought it was great that they text you and you can text them if you needed anything for your stay. Overall an exceptional experience. We stayed at Loews first time, my decision was based on location. What a surprise, our stay was excellent! Staff at the front desk, service staff, the rooms, the views, the location, the pool, the coffee shop and more.

From check in to check out, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a very long time - and that’s saying something because I travel a lot. When I first approached the hotel, no one helped me with my bags. When I got to the front desk, my reservation was “lost” and they had me just sitting in the lobby. I got in late at night and was dying to take a shower - when I finally got a room, I sanitized and went to take a shower and the water was freezing cold. Then I went to wash my hair and the shampoo was dried out and the conditioner was crusty. Had to let the water run for 15 minutes to get lukewarm. When I woke up the next morning to order breakfast, the restaurant had about 3 options for breakfast and they were not good (and overly expensive). Later in the day, I went to take a nap and my bed linens were dirty and had yellow stains all over them. Went to open the curtains and my view was a wall. Of course I didn’t stay as long as I had planned - and when I went to check out the staff spoke ill of my assistant! I will say, the pool was nice, the gym (though closed right now) looked cool, and I love that you can walk down to Hollywood Blvd from the pool. But honestly those things dont make up for it and I won’t be visiting or recommending Loews to friends or colleagues. Read less
